    Love this Sharon, beautiful ocean. Just a wee word about clock mechanism's when putting on the hands, they should all be pointing to 12 to ensure correct time keeping - lol, I speak from experience, I have made clocks from old frying pans. Also, the clock hands can be cut to measure if they are too long.

    Positively beautiful. About how long from start to finish did this project take? I tend to want to rush through my projects, especially after watching videos (where the actual time is not listed). I also loved that you used to molding paste to create a rough beach effect. I'm sure your project was a big hit. Thank you for sharing.

    • @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt
      @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The resin part takes me a hour each layer from set up, mixing and trying up. The beach painting about 20mins, the top coat if needed only about 20 mins. Its always hard to show really time in videos as some people want you to show everything in 5 mins. I let cure between each coat of resin for 12 - 24hrs. Hope that helps and thank you for watching

    Waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy tooooo many ads!! And please do not blame it on a TH-cam algorithm when you post videos you select the amount of ads!

    • @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt
      @SharonLindleyVividDaysArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Andy I value your feedback.
      My thoughts are, I am sharing my art with other people and creators, I buy all the products, I am no affiliated, I think of the designs, I spend hours creating and sharing with the world for free. If the only source of income is to play some adverts. Do you really begrudge me this? I am not blaming anyone, i select monetise my video, a privilege I have worked hard for and continue to work hard for, What I don't do is select the amount of adverts. Is I didn't do this, I would be able to continue to share my work for others to be inspire or copy.
      You can choose to watch or not, I can choose to have adverts or not. I choose adverts to help support me continuing my channel and sharing with other.
      When was the last time you can away your passion for free?

    Love your clock. A good tip to know, I always buy the clock movements that come with the straight, angular hands. That way if hands are too long, you can easily cut (metal is very thin) them to the size you need.

  • @fadedkat4890
    @fadedkat4890 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Your whole project was amazing. You have balls to repaint and change the wave movement. I would have started again. The colour you used, the green blue/blue green was great. Brought back some fond memories. The finished clock was fantastic. I like the force of your waves rather than lacey ones. It was a time consuming project but well worth it. The sound effects were quite amusing!!! Love the cat. I have 8. It's not just household dust I have to worry about.
    Could I ask. If you want to blank out an area when you are doing acrylic what would you use. I bought sticky backed plastic but it seeped under. Any other suggestions. There are curves involved or I would have used masking tape as I did for the sides. Only if you have time to reply.
    Have a great Hogmanay. We are in Lockdown so the 3 of us won't be doing much. Safe 2021 and keep the art flowing 💖💖💖

      Awww Thank you, you just have to be happy with your compositions and sometime be willing to deconstruct to get the image you connect with. Its was good to go back to old school Sharon with the colours, glad you connected with them also. I have to agree with you on the ocean waves mine is to see movement and power in the ocean, its what I connect with. 8 cats I am sure each day is an adventure of mischief. If i was trying to blank out a section I would use masking tape ensure no gaps and a double layer with a sheet of paper. Keep Safe also, we are also in the 3rd lock down
