    An important lesson in 5:15. For my 2008 truck, the device manual says that security light will flash as if it hasn't recognized the key, but that's when the device is programming the new key. At that moment the security light blinked differently: twice sequentially followed by a blink, this indicates that it did not recognize the transponder. Then I changed it for another transponder that came in the dense key model 12bby-08 which I added correctly, however, added as I explained at the beginning of this text, that is, at 5:15, instead of turning off the light, it blinked normally until it went out.

But, I didn't know about these scanners, I was looking to see if my ELM OBDII could do it. Is there an app, do you know? or you have to buy a separate scanner?

    Hello.
    Im looking to buy a car key programmer.
    I have a small car dealership.
    Im also a mechanic.
    I've dealing with cars for 20 years.
    I have a complete mechanic shop with the latest scan tools but I need a car key programmer that can program cars with all key lost, just in case...
    Right now, i bought a lot of 14 Smart Fortwo from 2008 to 2015 and 2 of them came without any keys, none of them.
    Im not a locksmith but im not a regular customer neither.
    There is any scanner that you can recommend me ?

After starting the car, close the doors, then put the device in, then wait till it beeps like crazy. Somtimes it even beens without stopping. I left it there for a while and let it beep for 2 mins, then removed it and turned the car off. I opened the door and then the anti lock came on my highlandwr 2010 on left side of dash. Then i pressed the lock and unlock button at same time and let go. Then i hit the lock button and it worked.

  • @SpringvisualTk
    @SpringvisualTk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Keep in mind that this or a similarly priced solution will work for 5-10% of cars in the market and has a good chance to damage your car because of bad manufacturing.
    That said, there are good solutions for DIYers, but this is way too cheap, would you risk doing this and having thousands of dollars of damages by needing the computer replaced?
    Instead, get a reputable chinese programmer like the CK100, T-300, SBB, X100Pro, or xhorse MiniOBD, pick the cheapest one atm and that will work fine at around $100, not $20, you'll still save money and also have a device that does almost 90% of the market up to around 2014. not just one model badly.
    All-in-all, particular toyota system is very simple, but being a locksmith requires thousands of dollars in equipment and training, even buying the correct key can be tricky, usually its much better to get a locksmith as they will give you a warranty and make a key on the spot instead of waiting, returning and/or failing doing it yourself, but definitely price check and do your research for the possibility to DIY, usually if you want to add a third key for example you don't need any hardware.
