I’m guessing somethung to do with it being liquid or the chemistry. Same reason why you can’t put a leaf with a needle on it in the sand and find the north pole.
It's the sun + moon's gravity being in line clearly causes higher tide fluctuations during new and full moon phases (weaker when they counteracting each other during neap tides). The correlation is very strong during the moon phases
