Great fire setup and cook Jason! I thoroughly enjoyed how you set up your fire pit and how you cooked those delicious chicken thighs! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jason, this is a great video with explanation. I picked up some jute twine from the Dollar store awhile back myself. The price is right. I love cooking over an open fire. Great tips! Your chicken looks awesome. Thanks for sharing! God Bless!
😲 I have never thought to use jute as a firestarter! I use everything from petroleum covered cotton balls to the little store bought starter squares but this looks very promising. Can't wait to try it! Your chicken looked divine. 🤤 Great video. 👍
Hi Jason. Excellent tip on the rope braids used for fires starting tinder bundle. I normally use the tepee style log pile but see the wisdom of the logs on the bottom. looking then putting the sauce on is another great tip. New here so greetings from Mike at that place. Love to get outside and camp so new sub to channel. Be awesome. Like 34
*Hello, I'm your 48th Thumbs up. Some years ago we did a Fun family event in our back yard. We all chose different ways to start a fire. One was a magnifying glass, another was water in a clear bottle to magnify the sun, we did the kindle spinning to get a flame going & lastly was Flint & none of us got a fire going. Saving Dryer lint in a Great fire starter too. We've watched a lot of survivor shows. I'm enjoying this video. I hear that bee/bug buzzing around near your camera. Great Share. 😍😍😍* Sharon in SC

Hey Dan! I appreciate your support more than you know. It always makes me feel good when people like you who are skilled in the outdoors pays me a compliment.
Excellent cooking. Great video. I’ve used both jute string and cotton balls saturated in Vaseline with my ferro rod. The jute is less messy and the cotton works well even a bit wet. Habanero BBQ sauce.😋
Hey Hashtag! That sauce turned out to be really good and a nice level of heat. It definitely earned the hot label on the bottle. I've honestly never used vaseline with Firestarters because I'm not a fan of the way it feels. Thanks for watching and being awesome!
Good one, Jason! Yeah, jute twine is a great option to get used to making a bird's nest for flint & steel or bow drill. I'm all about using store bought items when possible. Sometimes, it's hard to find natural materials that are in good enough shape to work so always need to have somethin on hand to practice with. Your BBQ chicken looked pretty good too, brother! Great submission, brother!
Great job and thank you for the information about using jute twine. I am going to get me some to keep on hand. I had never heard of Drunken Chef before, thank you. Your chicken looked delicious. Great video!

Thanks for Sharing; very informative. Stay Safe.
Guess there’s an advantage to having snow on the ground when you have a backyard bonfire…no flies or mosquitoes. 😂
Interesting channel. Just subscribed and rang the notification bell. Looking forward to more camping and outdoor content.
Nice demonstration Janson! Can you do the same with 3 strand manila to get a good fire starter?

Put a bounce dryer sheet in your shirt pocket to keep the gnats away.
