      That statistic is over 20 years old. Hollywood didn't give a crap when it was only the peasants being crapped on. Now that it's affecting the elite, suddenly they want to use the peasant's plight to help their own.

      Do you know why humans are greedy? THEY ARE SOCIALLY CONNECTED TO PEOPLE AND LIVING IN SUCH A SPECIFIC LIFESTYLE THAT ENCOURAGES THIS BEHAVIOR WHERE THEY FORM EGO-BASED INTERACTIONS AND FETISH-BASED BEHAVIOR AND TREATMENT THEY GET OFF ON IT AND THEY PAY PEOPLE THEY WANT TO GIVE THAT MONEY TO BASED ON THEIR DILLUSIONAL IDEOLOGIES. AND OF COURSE WHEN IT COMES TO $100,000's of DOLLARS OF COURSE THEY JUST GIVE IT TO WHO THEY WANT. THEY LITERALLY SOCIALIZE LIKE THIS AND FORM SOCIAL GROUPS AROUND THEIR PEERS THAT ENCOURAGES THIS BEHAVIOR THAT DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HOW OTHER PEOPLE ARE TREATED UNDERNEATH THEM. PEOPLE WITH AUTHORITIES ALWAYS, ALWAYS TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES BENEATH THEM LIKE GARBAGE!!!!!! They just USE YOU and pay you what they want, even though it's what YOU are doing YOU are doing the work. You think they can see that? DOES IT AFFECT THEM AT ALL THAT IT'S THIS WAY? HAHAHH I WISH IT AFFECTED THEM. BUT IT DOESN'T. Actors should not be on SALARY. Actors should be paid BASED ON A HIGH PERCENTILE OF INLFUENCE AND PRESENCE AND WORK IN THEIR JOBS.
      But why just actors? WHY NOT EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE GETTING PAID SH** WAGES WHILE THE COMPANY HOARDS MILLIONS AND BILLIONS FOR THEMSELVES THAT DOESN'T GO BACK INTO CENTRAL CIRCULATION. IT GOES OVERSEAS AND GOES BYE BYE.
      THATS WHY THE US HAS NO MONEY. BIG BUSINESSES WHO DON"t SHARE THEIR WEALTH SEND THEIR MONEY OVERSEAS AND INTO OTHER ASSETS THAT JUST STORES POWER AND PERSONAL SECURITY. INSTEAD OF GOING INTO THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY USE IT TO BUILD THE WORLD AND EXPAND GROWTH. WE CANT EXPAND GROWTH WHEN THERE IS NO MONEY IN ANYONE"s LIFE BEING USED, IF IT"s ONLY USED TO MAKE SOME PEOPLE MONEY.

Or in maintenance of our infrastructures in this country, but they have jobs they studied for, acquiring a degree for. Though they make a living in what is considered dramatic arts it is still a part of modern life and a part everyone just about benefits from and a valuable part that I believe has huge pressures on the participators. They are worthy of their craft. They should have a foundation base looking out for the work they do ! Just like most other workers have. If a person doesnt feel their work is worth seeing then THEY shouldnt purchase videos. But thats not to say the workers/actors rights shouldnt be protected. Heck look at what happened to children actors back in the 20th century. They were HORRIBLY exploited. But the laws changed for them.

      @chelsea_yigan ปีที่แล้ว +13

      seriously!! the fact the some are failing to see the parallels between this and the minimum wage fight is crazy. Everyone, no matter where they are working should be paid a decent wage. Corporations are ready to replace all of us in very aspect, and I agree that the whole country should come together and protest. Unfortunately, there are people in this country that think if you work fast-food or retail, you don't deserve a living wage because it's "low-skill work". People don't realize that this mindset of these jobs being low-skill work, provides a basis for these businesses to install automated services (i.e. self checkouts), and then these same people turn around and complain that "no one wants to work" or "they need to hire people again". This is truly the beginning of the end

    • @VictoriaReadsReddit
      @VictoriaReadsReddit ปีที่แล้ว

      It will never close as long as women are half the workforce and illegals can replace you for less money. Wages are very much supply and demand. Fran Drescher has always been an inspiration to the world of Art and Entertainment, and this because of the enormity of her heart and the the humility she harbours within it. I love her. I love that she is giving her voice in support of creative people who gift to this world a very real sense of being that AI can never replicate, that Love is everything in the realisation of our dreams. I am a composer, and I am of the old school. I still use pen and manuscript paper. It's a question of connection, and at a deeply spiritual level. Therefore, I am fearful for this world with the advent of AI and across all walks of life, where making a living should never be diminished by technology, rather augmented by it to embrace spirit and always - always! - in celebration of the Truth of Who We Are as creative entities because that is why we are here: to create! The distinction between what is artificial and our authenticity should never fall into question.

    Everybody deserves to be paid farily and decently in every industry they work in. For the amount of work that is asked of writers and lack of stability, they deserve to be paid accordingly or have favorable benefits. Writers lose so much money from not benefiting that much from streaming services.

    Quality above quantity. If the writers suffer, the actors suffer in the end as well. All the acting in the world can not reverse the poor scripts that are being generated, just to provide "content". And no one, unless those who work in the industry, truly understand how emotionally and physically taxing it is to work 15+ hours days for sometimes weeks on end, for such small pay and no residuals. It’s defeating. Please don’t neglect to see that there are thousands and thousands of actors, besides the few A-list actors who actually earn enough to live very comfortable lives.
