One thing he brought up (can't remember if it was during the interview.or talking afterwards) was the difference between how interactions between shiners and law enforcement. One area it was peaceful and friendly. Even when the moonshiner was caught. But other regions it was not peaceful and violence was not uncommon.

Educational- and its not so long ago. Kids from this environment often became good solidiers in the jungle of Vietnam. They had it a lot easier to adapt, compared to cityboys from Hanoi.
