Yeah, it's called playback. Many artists use a backing vocal track. This one was a bit too loud in my opinion. In fact, he may be lip synching the majority of it, which would be a disappointment. If not his mic is _waaaay_ too quiet.

His vocals when rapping on this are lower but he's definitely not lip-syncing this, I've heard him perform this a couple times now and his voice comes through distinctly. You can definitely tell it's him rapping live. Especially compared to the track, he sounds different on the track and when rapping it live. If you think he's "too old to rap live" I suggest you watch him performing Rap God live.

You people who are saying this is lip synced have no clue what you're talking about. If you listen closely you heard through the whole song. There was back track the whole time, the reason it was so quit is you're supposed to hear Em over it. It was seemed like a sound system issue, Eminem didn't go up there intending to fool anyone that he is rapping this way.
His body language says it all. At the start he looks over at Rubin a couple times like WTF and just powers through it. Check the last few seconds as soon as the music stops Eminem and Mr. Porter looks over at Rubin (4:16 porters expression). The way Eminem drops his arm after the peace sign, looks down afterwards then looks at Rubin again.

Maybe I'm just weird but every time I see a live performance by Eminem, or any artists who came from the bottom, I start thinking about their families. Those people who knew them before they made it. Like, when I saw this live on SNL I was thinking "I wonder if Eminem's mom is watching this, too." and "I wonder how she feels about it." I'll be all "I wonder if his Ex wife Kim is also watching this. How does she feel about Em's fame now that she's not a part of it?"
Then I start digging deeper. "Hmmm. Em used to work as a busboy at a restaurant and was constantly annoyed by his boss. I wonder if this person still works at the restaurant and how he feels about his former employee being an international star." Or, "What about em's aunt, uncle, cousin, father...are they all watching this? What are they thinking?"

Instead of worrying about whether he's lipsyncing or not, scrutinizing every second, just enjoy the incredible performance by everyone here - also, Em wrote those lyrics and recorded that stuff, putting a ton of work in, he can perform how he likes, I wouldn't even care if he was completely lipsyncing (which he isn't for the most part, his mic is just really, REALLY low)
The instruments onthe live version do sound amazing as that other comment pointed out.

Watch the guitarist from :59-1:02, his had never moves from the lowest note on the guitar, but the prerecorded guitar goes to an even lower note than the previous note played. Really? Amazing performance, eh? Suuuure.

The drummer is the only one that seems to be playing their instrument to the music.
Did he lip-sync the chorus? Yes. Why? Because the chorus has numerous stacked vocal tracks that he can't all do himself.
He's using a backing band, so the beat itself minus the sampling is being recreated in real time by the said band. The only purpose Rubin serves DJing is for the samples and for the stacked vocals during the chorus and other parts of the song.
Berzerk is just one of those songs that do not work live due to the heavy digital effects it uses. Shoulda just done Survival and performed a new song live at that point in time.

It seems like they were worried about all the curse words in thos song so they had it low just in case.
Eminem uses a backing track for most of his concerts now. When he came to Sydney, he used it but quietly. He also does the fast verses but Mr Porter fills in for him when he is breathing. For most of the fast verses, he breathes but when editing the song, it is taken out so he can do the fast verses but not without breathing.
