Newberry was really nice. We spent a little time the next morning exploring the monument… you will see more of that in the next episode 😊 Cheers ~Grizz
I just realized that I know that road you were on heading up to Newberry--pretty sure, anyway. Took that same route about 15 years ago in my Jeep. A small tree had fallen across the road, but fortunately I still had my chainsaw in the back from clearing out some ice storm-damaged trees on my property, and was able to cut my way through. Those lava rock chunks made for hard going on four wheels. Glad I wasn't on two! And, that "powder" wreaked havoc on my air filter.
the mirrors are from Touratech. I love them. Used to run double take mirrors but didn’t like them as some of the ram mount balls have rubber. With heat and cold, they were constantly shifting as they heated up. I’d park the bike in the sun and come back and see my mirrors loose. Was constantly fussing with them. So I bought these and sold the double take mirrors with my G650GS Sertao. touratech-usa.com/Store/Touratech-Adjustable-Folding-Mirror?v=040-0771
Just a reminder. There are private homes along that graveled section of road before crossing Tumalo Creek. Please respect those of us that live there and slow down and minimize the dust. One comment the cyclists tend to be more respectful than many of the 4 wheel drive rigs. Great ride.
I’m using the Touratech racks. Mainly because I found a deal on the Touratech rear rack. To ensure compatibility and fit, I bought the TT racks at a holiday sale event here in Seattle. Cheers ~Grizz
Those guys made me smile for the next 2 days.. They had an excellent attitude and outlook. I’ve met many people on my adventures. He is one that will be forever etched in my memories. Thanks for riding along. ~Grizz
Great ride Grizz! That loose sand makes for a good nights sleep! LOL Enjoying yourselves is what it's all about. Be safe! Cheers Mate
Stay tuned. It gets even more dicey 😉 Thanks ~Grizz
Trying to recognize the trail sights.
The cone hill was one. Didn’t make it up to Newberry but passed around it. Thanks for taking us along.

The legend returns!!! Love it!!
Beautiful scenery! Just enough challenge to keep you humble. BTW, what mirrors are you using?

What pannier racks are you using?

@@RubiKonAdventures I love to see people jumping in and playing all-out with what they have! They were definitely having a good time.
It’s like he said ”you ride what you brought”. At least he was out there. Thats the adventure.
