first time I heard Babalik by G22 when it was released. it instantly became my fav PPOP girl group song. Hindi ako mahilig sa ballads but the song is really nice and the harmonies are chefs kiss. isa narin cguro bakit ako nahook is hndi siya masakit sa tenga pakinggan. their Alto voices are soulful and warm.
Right? Such different vibes for both groups, G22 has like a mature, R&B, Supremes vibe with "Babalik" and BINI has this really refreshing, fun, and uplifting concept in "Karera". They both showed the diversity of our ppop groups so well!
BINI and G22 are the next PPOP sensation in the country and worldwide. SB19 set the standards of PPOP. And also ALAMAT is also setting the multilingual PPOP grop. Kudos to these 4 groups. Mabuahy, Pilipinas! ❤❤❤❤❤

Sad that lots of Filipinos still think that when it's PPOP, it's limited to "sumasayaw" or "parang KPOP." Meanwhile, PPOP enthusiasts around the globe, esp here in Europe, know that PPOP's vocals can slay ballads, RNB, rock, alt-rock, disco, punk, etc. apart from the usual saccharine pop (which I personally am not a fan of) or upbeat dance tunes. G22's vocals and live stages ate!!! Glad they were invited by Lay to showcase PPOP at "Show It All."
I was attracted to PPOP because of their songs, when you listen it makes sense there is always a takeaway even with their most bop songs. I listened to them more than I saw them, Spotify and there were only a few shows that they can appear on and I don't really watched TV. Then I would watch their Wish Bus performance and the live vocals and blending really blew me away next level talent. When more and more videos of them were being uploaded on youtube dancing and live singing they slayed. I was a K-pop fan before 1st and 2nd generation but Filipino talent hits way different, so so proud.
I do hope to see more Filipinos, particularly the younger generation, check out & support our very own Pop groups. It's inevitable for PPOP to be compared to KPOP coz KPOP is already established & well-known worldwide. So, POP groups from other countries would be described as KPOPish. But one of the several advantages that PPOP groups have is their amazing LIVE VOCALS. There is so much talent in the Philippines and we have so much to offer & be proud of. Many foreigners see & appreciate Filipino talents and it's time we should too. ☺️🇵🇭
also the lyricism and concept, the topics discussed by Bini, especially in Karera, just feels very Filipino (di ko maexplain) pero yung way natin itackle and lyrics and songs, very Filipino.

Hmm not sure if you've noticed pero halos lahat ng nag-mention na similar siya to K-POP eventually said that it might be even better than K-POP. (Check 8:07-8:12, 8:46-8:58) In fact, in the end of the video, when we asked what P-POP's edge is vs established idol industries, halos lahat ng respondents sinabi na yung edge talaga natin is live vocals. Halos i-trash talk na nila mga live vocals ng K-POP at the end of the video (14:13-14:58), and y'all are still complaining! hahaha while the Idol group concept came from J-POP, tama yung isang respondent namin na K-POP ang current na market leader, so the fact na nasasabi nilang equal, or even mas nahihigitan pa siya ng P-POP (if you actually watched and listened to the reactions) is a compliment (12:24-12:58). ☺

Its always really weird to me how people say "oh they dont look filipino". Filipino people much like indonesia isnt a homogenous country, everyone comes in different shades sizes and etc. I find it funny thats all because they DO look filipino, its just that the 1. Lighter Skin 2. The Make up 3. The fashion, are "foreign" to most Filipinos because its seen as more kpop or east asian style. predebut bini, and other ppop groups look like ordinary filipino people you'd see in the wild in the philippines and you wouldn't ask if they are or aren't filipino cuz rhey look the part. haha, specially when in pics of themselves outside of the group.

It’s just kinda sad to think that Filipinos in general are not aware that their own local artists are actually just as talented (probably even better) as their Korean idols. I just hope that the local music industry as a whole with the help of the government should take advantage of this phenomenon (the rise of P-Pop) to invest more in promoting P-Pop because this is the only way our local artists can get support from the general public. I mean P-Pop is at least thriving even with a very small percentage of support from our locals, what more if it becomes mainstream?

Some of these people are so frustrating. Tell me, exactly how should a Filipino look? Exactly how should a p-pop song sound? They all look Filipino because they ARE Filipino. The p-pop songs sound Filipino because they're written and performed by Filipinos and sung in Filipino languages. What do they want? For groups to dress in tribal clothes that they don't even wear themselves, or to only use traditional instruments that they probably couldn't even name? The double standard is so obvious. Do they say Flow G is a copycat of American hip hop? Is Regine and every other belter a copycat of Whitney and Mariah? It's sad that it takes foreigners' recognition for us to appreciate our own local talent.

Di talaga focus ng Kpop yung vocals kase matatago lang nila through lipsync at wala namang nag rereklamo so why fix it. G22 and Sb19 is the reason why I'm into ppop and k-pop now. Mostly my into genre in music are r&b and rock band.
Kulang pa pala talaga sa exposure ang G22 huhu. So glad nakasama sila sa show it all. I hope this is a big (re) start for the girls.

Its always really weird to me how people say "oh they dont look filipino". Filipino people much like indonesia isnt a homogenous country, everyone comes in different shades sizes and etc. I find it funny thats all because they DO look filipino, its just that the 1. Lighter Skin 2. The Make up 3. The fashion, are "foreign" to most Filipinos because its seen as more kpop or east asian style.

It’s just kinda sad to think that Filipinos in general are not aware that their own local artists are actually just as talented (probably even better) as their Korean idols. I just hope that the local music industry as a whole with the help of the government should take advantage of this phenomenon (the rise of P-Pop) to invest more in promoting P-Pop because this is the only way our local artists can get support from the general public. I mean P-Pop is at least thriving even with a very small percentage of support from our locals, what more if it becomes mainstream?

Some of these people are so frustrating. Tell me, exactly how should a Filipino look? Exactly how should a p-pop song sound? They all look Filipino because they ARE Filipino. The p-pop songs sound Filipino because they're written and performed by Filipinos and sung in Filipino languages. What do they want? For groups to dress in tribal clothes that they don't even wear themselves, or to only use traditional instruments that they probably couldn't even name? The double standard is so obvious. Do they say Flow G is a copycat of American hip hop? Is Regine and every other belter a copycat of Whitney and Mariah? It's sad that it takes foreigners' recognition for us to appreciate our own local talent.
