Not sure how accurate but he really only displayed 1 emotion in twilight and that’s annoyance so who knows, it could be true. As a twihard I wish he had a stronger afterward but 🤷♀️
You're projecting off of what you deem to be redeemable and successful. Having a smaller life doesn't make you any less happy and he looks very content. I think out of all of them he had the least range and was probably the worst actor. He's now a happily married man and he makes an honest living.

Cullens never actually wore contacts. When the vampires are hungry their eyes are red, their eyes turn golden when their hunger is sated after they go hunting and feed by giving the excuse of camping.
