Although i think his mother made the right decision at the time, it always make me sad that he has had so many setbacks in his idol career. He would have been so much better off staying in seventeen 😭😭😭 His hyungs really would have taken good care of him.
I'm not sure if his mother made the right decision because in the end, he debuted as an idol earlier than Svt debuted. So his mom's reason is quite questionable. I feel like that was just his mom's excuse because she probably did not see any future for his son in that company.

@@de1516 Yep! he debuted with 1/One (Jung Jaewon) as a duo called 1Punch in Jan 2015, 4 months earlier than Svt debuting in May 2015, but then they only last until Sept 2015 'coz One left, tbf, it actually didn't make sense that they pair up Samuel who's 13 yrs. old at that time during 2015 while 1/One is 20 yrs. old that time but looks like Brave ent. just needs a money maker in their co. lol i think they are like a rap duo b4 but basically Samuel's a little kid before being paired up with an adult, and they said she pulled him out of Pledis because he's too young and yet let him debut 2 yrs. only ahead of SVT by a couple of months only after for his duo to disband the same year. I actually think the he's too young to debut was just bs, i seriously think she just didn't think Svt would'nt debut at some point because their debut date keeps getting pushed due to lack of money.

From the perspective of making a cohesive group, it would have been weird to have a 13-year-old. I wonder if that was a factor in the decision, and if pledis had a hand in him leaving.

@@Shia.17 they met in a variety show before called "the boss is watching" both samuel and svt are guests there. I don't think that they have that bond before this show (cyzj). I watched this show in full, and you can tell that samuel and minghao are kinda awkward with each other on the first few episodes, compare to Jun that samuel greeted him like he didn't saw his brother or a close friend fir a long time.
It sucks that Samuel never made it into the Seventeen debut, but his mother's reasoning was understandable😭

Don't say that, dino is love by all hyungs alot its just the fact that Samuel was way younger for the svt members back then he was really a baby 11 only while rest svt was reaching adulthood almost average was 15 16 ,including dino who was 50/50 to be svt or can be a leader of a new boy group ,but in past 9 years dino is our maknae and he will be in future and is loved alot is just he is way mature than the other members who are babies in their own hes whereas dino is older in his home ,DINO is loved.

1. Samuel is so much younger than others impacting how everyone will treat him, everyone older can’t joking too far

hell, no! you do not know more about his happiness than his mother does. also, I am glad that she took him out because of his age because that is the age you're supposed to go to school and play, not make a career. I know a lot of the idols start training at a really young age and I'm not going to judge them for this because I'm no one to judge. but it's also true that being so young and going through such hectic training (like not being able to eat unless you get it right) is not for children.

This is just very sad. I understand his mom's decision but then I saw that he got to debut in other group too (it was even b4 seventeen debuted? If I am correct) he debuted even at a young age so what's the point in stopping him that time? He could've gone bigger with SVT now, the regret Samuel or his mom must've felt when SVT got successful and is still active until now.

Cheol showed up to the finale of pd 101 season 2. He was in the family section. I remember watching it live. All the leaks said Samuel would debut and then he didnt make it. People were shocked and angry. I even think mnet themselves posted something that had him in the final lineup but quickly deleted it. Cheol cried i think.
Just for a clear information, cheol mainly attended the finale for his nuest brothers.

There were actually four SVT members who left. Doyoon, Mingming, Dongjin, and Samuel.
Doyoon was actually the oldest and would probably be the leader if he didn't leave. He left a year before SVT debuted and pursue acting.
Mingming left a year before SVT debuted too. He's actually part of China line together with Jun. When he left, Minghao came. He left due to personal reasons.
Dongjin left a year before SVT debuted too to continue schooling.
And lastly Samuel, who left 2 years before SVT debuted. He's the most well known ex-SVT member because for one, he debuted earlier than SVT, but his duo disbanded. And then he later debuted as solo, then joined the produce survival show.

He debuted as a duo, then debuted solo after the group disbanded. He participated in produce 101 season 2 and also played in a drama. His career as a solo idol went up and down, especially after his disputed with his agency. his previous agency was also quite problematic. I don't know if it was a contract issue or something (I forgot), until one day there was sad news about his father. He was the victim of murder by his long time friend. after his father passing, Samuel replaced his father in managing their company.
