Good job mate. I wanted to buy it,but too many concerns are preventing a buy from me. I heard things about the Duo as well. I'm about to give a chance to the Rolland Bridge Cast lately.
Thank you. Ya, it needs some polishing at least in the software side to make it more functional. right now it works but is just to basic, like there targeting beginner streamers. but $399 is a lot for a beginner streamer.
i be buying that see ya is using this for camera ya over spend i am using it for a right reason gameplay and lets plays i using it for dual pc setup . just unplug the streamer x or hit the switch off on the power aka psu form the pc
I use it for the camera and the microphone, as well for dual pc streaming. I also use it for consoles. I’ve had problems with unplugging it, sometimes it would delete all my settings and I would have to redo them all. Plus it’s inconvenient to unplug and replug it everyday for the price. But thanks for the feedback!
@@andriibudim I think for the first few months I did but, I dont anymore Im not sure if the software updates helped or not. I do know that it was kinda like the silicon lottery when everyone was first getting them, whether they had the hiss or not. I also did change a lot of my cables to higher quality ones so that could have stopped the hiss as well. Also most of the cons of the video have been improved through updates, so I’m a bit more happy with it now haha!
does the EQ processing save on board or do you need the unify app running in the background for it to work? because I wanted to set it up using this and Elgato Wavelink but uninstall unify after setting up the EQ and Processing using the aphex and revolution processor/eq settings
@@Yiro. awesome! So I don't have to choose the audient evo 4! Thank you so much for answering and helping me out, i wish this product got a little cheaper or came without the touch pads
@@Ka11zer No problem man! i kinda wish that as well! making it a little more affordable would be awsome and a option without the buttons would be great too! hope it works out for you!
Rhetorical question. I’m just saying if their “competition” has software that includes all that stuff plus more then why use Unify. In the video I said “it’s a great piece of hardware” but it’s marketed to the basic streamer. Who doesn’t care about how fine tuned they can make their audio/video for their audience. But at a 399 price tag and almost a year of the software being out , this should at least be polished out and on par with their competitors.
@@Yiro. - fair enough; nonetheless, I use it in a 2 pc setup with audient id44 and audiofuse studio using vmix and find the software works perfectly, sending love and peace to everyone...
@@michaelj.4187 peace and love back to you man. Glad its working for you just saying they cant call it the ultimate all in one tool if its missing vital functions.
I bought a Streamer X and seriously regret it, IDK why but I somehow thought based on the quality of my PSA1+ mic arm that anything from Rode was high quality, and the unit itself seems very well built but the processing power is lacking when it cannot update or reset firmware without several days of trying until by some miracle getting lucky, and worse the preamp is weaker than anything I could imagine for an audio interface, cannot connect to studio monitors, Connect sux and Unify not much better, hissing sound with occasional crackling... Streamer X is total garbage just a gimmick with big glowing buttons. I will use an audio interface from reputable with separate HDMI capture and if I need buttons for anything I can get a macro or num pad. I don't think I will ever buy another Rode product after my experience with the Streamer X.
the best review ever! thanks so much!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

You said a con was the lights stay on when you turn off your pc. FYI you can turn off usb power after shutdown in your bios.
i need some advise should i get a 2080 founders edition for 240 or a rx 6650 xt for 260
I would go with the 2080 founders edition. It’s cheaper and it is a better card!
nice thanks i am 13 and have almost finished building my pc i am broke so i bought a 5600g so when I save for a gpu I can still use my pc @@Yiro.

Hi, do you experience any hiss in headphones? I'm on the verge of buying it but hesitating since many report that headphones preamps are not so good

I use the streamer x in combination with the rodecaster duo
Nice, I’ve been trying it with many different mics! I feel like it’s much better now with a few updates but the software still is bad

it has a built in DSP so it will save your setting to the device. you should be good to uninstall unify after you set you eq the way you like!

holy crap! you want fries with that?
Yes because other software based apps that route audio like how they want to do have all those plus more so why use unify?
