The victorious life of a Believer is dependent on his fellowship and intimacy with the Holy Spirit. To be poor in spirit means to acknowledge your spiritual inadequacies and rely on the sufficiency of God. These are the two things you must do to make prayer powerful & build intimacy with Holy Spirit - Apostle Arome Osayi
No one can know God by him/herself, so every time you have an encounter with God; it is not because you did something; it's because the Spirit of God decided to show you mercy. The posture everyone that everyone who wants to interact and build intimacy with the Holy Spirit must sustain is a state of poverty of spirit, that is you are insufficient, inadequate, and incapable of yourself. As long as you feel sufficient, you will not lean on the Holy Spirit to supply his energy. Therefore, these are the two things you must do to make your prayer powerful and build intimacy with the Holy Spirit and profit from the Holy Spirit.

To be poor in spirit means to acknowledge our spiritual inadequacy and rely on the sufficiency of God .
Without intimacy with the Holy spirit there's no transformation and maturity for a believer.
Looking up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
Stand for righteousness is prove of loyalty.
Everyone is designed indeed to find his sufficiency with God through intimacy with the holy spirit. Without the lord's help (mercy) Christians are nothing in the presence of the devil.
