Michelle stays so slim and trim while eating all those great meals. You both are so fortunate to see our beautiful country. You get along together so nicely. Another great video.
I’m catching up on your videos. I’ve been away for over a month in Europe. I’m sooooo glad to be back home in the PNW, and catching up on my favorite TH-camrs. I loved this trip, and made notes for next year.
I stopped at Devil's Tower once when my ex and I were driving from Seattle to Alabama (straight through!) I insisted on stopping here as it was in the movie Close Encounters. We didn't even get out, just drove near it. I remember it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere! Happy to see it again with you all!
I always look forward to the release of a new video from LivinRVision. You two make my day. I appreciate that you commented on the wheelchair access to see Devils Rock. My wife is handicapped and its nice to know her mobility scooter will allow her to get closer to the base when we make our way there.♿ Thank you and drive safe.
so many beautiful sights!! You guys did the right thing to start traveling when you did and that you go back to explore more if you like a place !! Safe travels!
I am surprised you did not mention the “Medora Musical and Pitchfork Fondue” in your video about western North Dakota. We returned from a ND trip and loved Medora, stayed 2 nights and 1 night in Theodore Roosevelt Nat’l Park in our Camper Van. Maybe you didn’t know about Medora Musical? We like historical sights so toured Bismarck for 6 days and went west, stopping at many historical sites such as the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Washburn and many other sights on our way back to North Idaho. I love your videos and what you do so keep up the good work….your journey is fun to watch and helps us viewers.
Yes, we were told about it while we were there but we simply didn’t have the time to do everything. If you followed along, we talked about the time had dinner and checked into the campground. The next day we had to leave town (in the beginning of next weeks video).
Wonderful as usual! Michelle…when you asked about those motorcycle riders and the hail it reminded me of our trip and getting caught on IH 40 outside of Clines Corner. Car windshields were broke out and we had bruises on our backs trying to hunker down! We gave ourselves the name “HailRaisers” after that trip!
Scenery was awesome. The breakfast looked wonderful. All in all, I really enjoyed your video. Devils tower looks so huge in the video. Did you leave a prayer cloth ?
Thanks for another great video. We’re leaving Wisconsin tomorrow and making our way up to Fargo. Headed west to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. I’ve been marking down the cool sights and places to eat! That caramel roll looked amazing.
We’ve been to Spearfish a few times when our kids were young. They used to have the Passion Play there in the summer months in an outdoor amphitheater. Loved it, and the area a lot.
Can't believe you were in Spearfish SD and we didn't know it! So close! I guess we'll never get to meet our favorite people! I surely hope you saw one of the biggest attractions in the hills, Spearfish Canyon. Stay safe, God Bless!
Hey Brian and Michele, Judy and I went to some of those same places. Loved revisiting them with you. Brought back good memories. That devils tower was awesome we thought. Took to many pics there. Take care and see y’all at a Walmart soon! Lol
Very timely for me! I was just planning a trip to Custer State Park for the Buffalo Roundup from Portland Oregon, and hoping to go to Devils Tower along the way. So, now I have added in a night at Medicine Rocks. Should be perfect, I like to keep it to around 150-200 miles a day when I don’t have a deadline.
I've been very behind on watching any video! Trying to catch up before next month! We went to Devil's Tower in '23 and it was so crowded we couldn't get in the parking lot! So we went to their picnic area and had lunch and viewed it from afar. Needless to say, we're going to head back next September! Great video!
That was a long day , but worth it. Good breakfast to get you going. We have seen people scaling the tower before, they look like ants on the side. I hope you had time to drive around Spearfish, there are some really nice spots to see. Always seems to be some hail storms around that area in the summer. Safe travels.🥸😎🤓
A couple of years ago we took our grandson to Devil’s Tower. We spent the night at the KOA there - a nice CG with a great view. And they showed an outdoor movie - “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” ! Not a great movie but fun to watch it with the tower directly behind the screen.
A lot of visitors are also fans of the movie “Close encounters of the third kind.” The KOA at the foot of the tower shows the movie outdoors every night in the summer, weather permitting.
I just recently found your channel. I am curious as to what you are using to capture all of your videos, especially on the road. Do you have a video that discusses what you use or could you list what you do use.
99% of the time it is GoPro’s and iPhone. I’ve found for the ease of use/not having to constantly change settings, they deliver well enough for TH-cam. There are other things you can do in post but too lengthy to explain.
Thanks for the video. I stayed at that same campground in Medora last year. I have been to Devils tower also. I stayed at the KOA there and they show the movie Close Encounters on a big screen. All the food that you eat looks delicious. How do you eat all that and stay trim?
Brian - Looked on your web page but couldn't find your water pressure valve with release. Could you share specifics or where you got it? Mine doesn't have that covenience.....
It's pronounced My Not. (Minot) North Dakota. The Air Force has a base there housing missles with nuclear capability. They can go over the North Pole and strike Moscow. The base became more specialized during the cold war. You don't want to hang around there in the winter. Some of the coldest temperatures found there.
Love your videos. Since you all are full-time, what do you put for an address on your driver's license? My wife and I plan to go full-time next summer.
Spearfish was our home for almost 30 years - a beautiful community, nice people. The City Campground is a gem; hope you had time to take in the DC Boothe Fish Hatchery. And when you leave, Spearfish Canyon is a beautiful drive (yes, I know you post these videos some time after you have been there). Roughlock Falls is about mid-way through the canyon. Then to Cheyenne Crossing, turn right and go through the town of Lead (pronounced Leed) to see where the open cut gold mine was (at one time, Homestake Gold Mine was the largest gold mine in the Americas); the tunnels are now used for scientific research. Then to Deadwood to try your luck in one of the many gaming halls (casinos). Judging from the fact that it wasn't wall-to-wall motorcycles in the Spearfish City Park, you were well before or after the actual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally... where you could walk through all the bikes on Main Street in Sturgis with about 500,000 of your closest friends. Mardi Gras on motorcycles! Then south to Rapid City and all the other fun touristy things in the Black Hills. If you want to treat yourself to one of the best RV resorts around, Hart Ranch is a membership park just south of Rapid City, but you can do a 2-night stay with a sales tour (so worth it). We have been members there at Hart Ranch for about 35 years. So many things to see and do in the Black Hills (Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Iron Mountain Road (takes you to Custer State Park). Wishing you safe travels, Captain Jim & the Blonde
We were there at the very beginning of Sturgis. This is our 3rd time that we came to the Black Hills area (in next weeks video). Yes, anytime you see a video, it is way too late for suggestions but we sure appreciate them! 🧡😊🤓
I use Final Cut Pro but it really doesn’t make a huge difference. The software doesn’t do the work for you, you still have to be creative and put it all together, including all cuts, pans, effects, transitions, etc etc.
@LivinRVision I was looking at DaVinci Resolve, but I am thinking of Capcut. I want to start doing videos, but have zero experience with editors. Thank you for replying. Hope you and Michelle are having a great day!!
Any conversation about using passport America for your discounted camping situations.? I have been using it for about two years and admitting it works about three out of every five or six nights, but you have to plan ahead.
Once you watch our episodes where we have talked about it, you’ll understand. Different reasons, mainly we work during the days of the week and film during the weekends mostly and since this channel is part of it all, we have deadlines for multiple reasons that limits our times (Filming permits with a specific date on the permit, places to be later where we have to limit our time in order to see each of lace along our way to that planned place). We’re it retired and in order to keep the channel going, we have to keep the content going also.
Sometimes, but then again we get to see more of the country this way. We return to many same areas later, as you know, so we cover more when we return. For instance, this is our third time to the Black Hills in the last 5 1/2 years. There’s no reason to try to see everything in one trip.
