What a coincidence I just broke one today :( I'm definitely gonna do that tomorrow!!! ♥ I love good tips and tricks for nails so I would love to see them coming up more often!
***** Hi sandy or cutepolish. I love your videos. And I also really wanted to do the nail art that you do in your videos. But the thing that stinks is that I can never have the right tools to do the nail designs. so was hoping you could show us viewers a nail design that will last a while and that you can find all the tools in your home. Just simple ones like toothpicks, cotton balls and swabs, nail polish obviously, nd much much more. So I hope you do this video also because I was thinking of having my mom do my nails soon. Like I said I hope you do this video nd I will see you soon..... in the video hopefully
Exactly how I felt. I figured using a fake nail was common sense and that a video wasn't needed for this. I was expecting to see a different way to do it, if it even exists.
She only did the video because ppl wanted to know how her nail went from "broken to normal". I'm sure she wouldn't have done it if they didn't ask, since it's pretty simple.
Kouri ***** Way to make a couple of pointless comments on what you perceive as a pointless video. Many people may have never used a fake nail, or have had the proper instructions to do it (especially with removal). She even gives tips on how to make it look more natural through brand and application since it's true how many can appear over the top when a novice applies them. Judging from 99% of the top comments, most people find it useful information so perhaps experts like yourselves could support them and answer questions instead of detracting. Thanks.
Alexandria C. You sound upset, don't be upset. It's just a pointless comment on a pointless video, also the top comments have not said that this super useful at all, in fact, some say that it's pretty obvious, others are completely off-topic. Try not to pull statistics out of your ass if you want to lecture me. Apparently being able to apply a false nail correctly makes one an expert, oh wow, even if I was, I have no obligation to support or answer any questions. Thanks for your much needed comment.
oh so disappointed. this is not fixing a broken nail, this is applying a fake nail. I was looking forward to a tip on fixing a natural nail that had broken. One I've seen on another channel is to use nail glue and thin medical tape or something -but I can't find that channel or video again to find the missing piece of the puzzle.
Search fiberglass/silk wrap nails. I think that's what you meant by "medical tape." There's a bunch of videos on how to fix broken nails with it, as well as to make nails longer. I've used fiberglass wraps with gel polish to change my nail shape, and to make them longer when my nails are short.
Exactly. It's not actually fixing the nail. She could have just told the person who asked her, " I used a fake nail" instead of a whole video on "fixing your nail" which you're not.
I bought these nails no too long ago and they are so cheap and so amazing. You can hardly even tell which ones are the false nails! Thanks so much for recommending these!
Can you do a tutorial on how to remove nail glue? I used some for the first time to keep studs stuck on, but it took me a real long time to get it off and I damaged some of my nails. How do you do it without doing too much damage? I'm sure you have some tricks!
Dip a cotton in acetone, place it on your nail and then wrap in aluminium foil. When u remove it after 5 mins it will be gone. Then dont forget to buff the nails
***** So much truth here! I have naturally thin, breakable nails, so I'll never have long, pretty nails like Sandi. But I have found that the more I paint them, the better they grow. Not sure why, but my nails are the longest they've ever been and all I've been doing is keeping them painted. Maybe the polish protects them from moisture, or whatever?
This was extremely helpful and such a coincidence since I'd been growing out my nails and just yesterday one of my nails broke off! I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to cut them all off since it took me a long time to grow all of them. So thanks soo much Sandy! :)
I'm so happy that she has flat nail beds like me...and still has an awesome nail channel and beautiful nails. It's so much more work with that shape of nail beds to get pretty looking nails. All the nail channel youtubers have perfect, thick, curved nail beds that seem to effortlessly get long. For a long time I thought my nail beds just sucked too much to have nice nails but now I know with a little work they can look awesome :D.
You guys really wanted to see what I used to fix my broken nail so quickly last weekend… so here's a video on it as requested! I hope you find it helpful :D Also, if you haven't heard yet, I launched my very first APP for iPhone & Android! You can download it here: iPhone: appsto.re/ca/cZUE4.i Android: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redpiston.cutepolish&hl=en
Thank you so much Sandy for this perfect nail tip as I just broke one of my long nails this week and was beyond devastated as I had just finished a beautiful new manicure. Are used to wear fake nails before I finally was able to grow mine out so luckily I have a few spare ones left over and was able to fix my broken nail to match the rest of my nails :)
I know your channel is about nailart but I'm wondering if you could do a skincare video because 1/ I love watching these videos and 2/ Your skin looks so healthy ♡
Nope! Just using a drop of nail glue on the bed is fine. Remember to dip in acetone to remove the nail. Then you can lightly buff the surface if there's any glue leftover. Then use a cuticle oil or cream and you're all set :)
Isabella Brand I think that only happens with acrylic nails, since you have to file your nails so you can put the acrylic but if you're just gonna glue them like she did then is not really hurting them :)
If only I had thought of this a month ago when I woke up and the white part of my pinky nail had somehow broken completely off like yours and I had to painfully wait for it to grow back! Definitely using this awesome lifesaver in the future :D
I have really bad nails. They don't grow fast. I chip them a lot. I don't even bite them and they still are short. My friends get long nails fast. I want to paint them, but I am afraid they'll be too short for a nice design. Any tips for healthy and growing nails?
Also, you can try having a "nail mask" once or twice a week. Get a scented paraffin or bee wax candle in a crystal glass, light it and when enough wax is melted, dip your nails in it; let it to dry and keep this mask on for about 15 minutes, then remove it. It really worked for me. ^^
I literally searched this because I used to bite my nails and I finally stopped and now that they're all long one broke on one side, so I wanted to see if I could do anything about it. Thanks for the tip!
Pastel.Chloe Ouch! I did this to my big toe not long ago (don't ask how. I literally have no idea.) It kept bleeding until the nail grew in a bit more. It was awful. D;
DigitAngel Exactly! Plus nail glue penetrates the top layers of your nail plate so you're causing more damage to your nail, not to mention the harm you can do to the softer new nail growth at the base of your nail plate! Acetone is the very worst thing to use on a damaged nail too 😡 Best to leave it to grow naturally and put up with a shorter nail for a week or two 😊
It's the closest you're going to get to a "fix" once the nail has completely broken off. I use the teabag trick to help fix partially broken nails, but once it's gone the only options are to leave them uneven, cut the rest to match, or apply something artificial.
+giulia sykes Because it's incorrect pronunciation from a native English speaker. It can be pronounced 'Nek liss' (AE), 'Nek less' (CE), Nek luss' (BE)... But it is NEVER 'Nek lace'!!
Can you do a video on tips and tricks about painting your nails with your opposite hand? Thanks. BTW you are my inspiration on painting nails. KEEP BEING YOU!
Hey Sandy, great video! I never thought to use fake nails before. It is so simple but effective! The only problem I have now is keeping my polish on my nails. I use both base coat and top coat but I still have the problem of chipping or completely falling off nail art after about three days. I don't know if I am using the right base and top coat or not applying them enough. Maybe you could do a video on how to keep your nail polish art lasting longer then an couple of days?
I really love these "tips and tricks" types of videos that you do. I see you've been paying attention to the feedback that you got from that online survey. Keep up the fantastic work, Sandi:)
Makeup goals!😩❤️ Also, could you make a video on how to fix nail polish when you bump your nail and the polish get ruined. This happens to me all the time. ❤️❤️
This video helped me so much!❤ My nails always break😓 i watched this video and new i had to buy some fake nails! I was at Target today and forgot what type of fake nails you used, so i just got some random ones, luckily when i got home i watched this again and realised i picked up the exact same ones you used❤❤😄
Wish I would've seen this about an hour ago. I just cut all of my nails because of a broken one 😢 Also, great tip on the size matching. Thank you for this ☺
I love having a face to the voice lol. So much more personality comes through and its awesome(: I also love the kiss nails i like to use them when one of my acrylics break but i don't have time to get in to the salon
Can u do a Reveiw on the French tip dip? It's a nail product that you dip into polish and dap it on your nails, then BAM! You have perfectly straight French tips! Thanks Sandi love u!
Sandi you're doing a great job! I just wanted to tell that you should make more videos on what kind of products to use for our manis just like your August Favourites video !Waiting for your next favourites video !
😩 wish I would've seen this tip before I decided to cut my nails shorter to match the broken one. I damn near cried when I had to do that. Awesome tip and I'm glad the glue won't destroy my nail bed, if removed correctly that is.
I wish I saw this video 30 minutes earlier, since I literally JUST cut off all my nails super short lol. Anyways, I can't believe how incredibly gorgeous you are! :)
I so wish I had this advise years ago when I used to do my own nails in high school. Ugh I used to always use the nail I "thought" fit perfectly, then it just ended up looking like a bulky hot mess, yet I flaunted my big nails like it was the ish LMAO eh, I was young and ditzy I guess. You live and you learn :)
Great tutorial but I would just do it the long way by waiting for it to grow I normally speed it up by massaging my cuticles and moisturise it. Once again, very informative smart tutorial.
Hey Sandi! I was wondering if you need to put a base coat on the fake nail? I'm not sure, and I might do this because I broke a nail yesterday! Awesome video, too!
Great tip! I would like to how to get rid of cuticles. I also want to know how to paint nails without getting air bubbles. I always have them whenever I paint my nail!
Hi Sandi! I was wondering if you could make some pedi design videos. Your mani designs are amazing, I have made a few myself. So it will be great if you could show us some pedi
I really like your app. I downloaded it right away. I like having all your designs at my fingertips. Thanks. I'd like to know how you fix a nail that is cracked partway across your nail? I always end up cutting it off because it catches on everything. I've tried glue but that only holds for a day or 2. This happens to me too often.
i cried when she said necklace....... neck-lace
Jordyn Hason I
It’s Hr Accent lolz
Neck lace...I'm sorry that's all can focus on right now😝
She is from Canada
+Vibewith Us i'm from canada and i say neck-lis??
+Delaney Winton LOL same
Well it is technicality a lace on your neck
Sandi: this just might be my favourite neck lace ever
me: mum what's a neck lace???
mum:😒😒😕😕
As simple as this is, it's genius. Kicking myself that I didn't figure it out sooner!
It's a simple process but it doesn't cross everyone's mind! Just wanted to share what I personally do and some tips I have on using these products :)
It crossed my mind years ago
Umm your not fixing it your covering it
I was about to say the same...it seems so obvious!
Kitty ikr
Very helpful tutorial, Sani! Loved the trick! 💋
OMG I LOVE YOU!!! And Brooklyn and bailey
OMG I love your videos!!

oh
That's not actually fixing the nail it's just hiding the fact that you broke it I'm just saying
Ikr...
My thoughts exactly!
True!!!!
yeah but it looks nicer andyou don't have to cut all of your nails and you can do this for like 2 weeks untilyour real nail grows back
Qwomo Domo i know 😊
Hey sandy!! Can you please do a video with different ways to shape your nail?
Ahhh yes I hope she will do that :) Pls hahh :))
I want the nails She got, Mine are rounded, Hope Sandy will do a video about how to make there nails like hers, or do anyone of you know?
Yes!!
MY NAILS ARE ROUNDED, BUT I WANT THEM SQUARE SHAPED! WOULD THAT MEAN I WOULD HAVE TO TRIM MY NAILS DOWN? :O
redroses78909 Try to grow them out and file them to the the shape you want. But cutting them with a nail clipper is easier to get the square shape. :)
This video: "Use a fake nail." Wow, thanks?
Exactly how I felt. I figured using a fake nail was common sense and that a video wasn't needed for this. I was expecting to see a different way to do it, if it even exists.

I love your channel

It's not medical tape but you could also use a tea bag to cover a cracked nail and it'll attach back
Try Orly nail rescue--that stuff is a miracle!

What does that mean? I'm Canadian and we say neckless, well, at least where I live

I love when you make videos showing your face. :) You're so beautiful !
Thank you! You're so gorgeous too!!! xoxo
Awwee thank you ! :o
I use those exact nails for those bad breaks and LOVE them! They look so natural and you can hardly even notice that you're wearing fake nails! ❤️👌🏼
Yay I love that we get to see your beautiful face in the introduction to videos. This video was really helpful thank you😊
Glad you liked the intro and that this tip helped you! :)

Alana Horner Thank you for this idea :) I didn't know.
... This is such a life saver! Thank you Sandi! Your a hero!! 💅💗😊
All I can think about is life saver candies… Can I be the orange one? :D
*You're

+Jordan G neck less

+Alyssa Nicole neck liss
+Alyssa Nicole okay three comments later... yours was better at explaining it
+Alyssa Nicole yeah like "neck lis" hehe
god bless you for making this video
Hahha agreed!:)
You're very welcome :) Hehe
Sandi! I love it when you make intros like this you're so pretty!
Love the vid, Maybe a ' how to grow your nails quick'💕
The thing is, what works for some might not work for others.
She has a video on that :)
Genetics and diet. Some products can help but genes are the first factor and diet is the second. Some people just need more time to grow them.

SwrAn Mecko yeah. It's a neck-liss!

Love you guys so much :)
Oh, thank you! I really need this video! I really love the tips and tricks vídeos! 👌👍
Could you do vidéos for lods or teens?plz plz plz

i want those nails SO bad but the glue ruins my nails :(
BreathInBritt this is late but I suggest applying base coat before applying the layer of glue
I know your channel is about nailart but I'm wondering if you could do a skincare video because 1/ I love watching these videos and 2/ Your skin looks so healthy ♡
Is this damaging to your real nail?
nope
I ripped my glued on nails off, and I now have a sensitive, weak nail :(
whatisajodie can you subscribe to my channel!

Adding more of vitamin B to your diet should help. And taking more time caring for your nails.
Drink a lot of water and almond oil works great for nail growth 😊 god bless
Also, you can try having a "nail mask" once or twice a week. Get a scented paraffin or bee wax candle in a crystal glass, light it and when enough wax is melted, dip your nails in it; let it to dry and keep this mask on for about 15 minutes, then remove it. It really worked for me. ^^
WikiHow has an article called Make nails grow faster, it contains lots of helpful tips which you might useful. ox
Use ether strengthening clear coat or try making your diet different with vitamins and minerals!
I love it when you have an intro! It seems more personal! FYI I really love your personality!
Neck lace???!!!!!! Just kidding
I literally searched this because I used to bite my nails and I finally stopped and now that they're all long one broke on one side, so I wanted to see if I could do anything about it. Thanks for the tip!
Has anyone noticed that every single "fix a broken nail" video features pink polish?
No I saw a French Tip
Masochistic Kitten lol french tip has pink
I still haven't gotten used to seeing your face in videos, it's amazing because it's a whole new level of interaction
I have a question.. I have the exact same brand of fake nails, and when I put them on, they break off the first or second day I put them on... Help?
I absolutely love that you took our suggestions into consideration and did an intro in this video. You are an amazing youtuber! ❤️❤️❤️your videos
your teeth are damn perfect 👍😮
KOMAL RK XDDD
KOMAL RK Ye i know right ...HOW though😕
I love the new intros where you talk to us! I feel a lot more connected with you! Btw I love your personality! It's so happy and bubbly !! :)

With the cost of salons these days, I was mortified when I broke 2 nails in one day. This helped so much. Thank you.
What about a video about lightening up yellow nails. My sometimes get yellow from some polish-.-
She posted a video on how to take care of your nails, and she mentioned a product that can help whiten yellow nails!
I'm so happy she has an intro with her in it. Your beautiful Sandi xx
I broke my longest nail from crashing in a wall ;-;
i hate when that happens
Thank you!! Been doing that for years glad to see I was on the right track.:)
This isn't 'fixing' the nail. It's just covering it up.
DigitAngel Exactly! Plus nail glue penetrates the top layers of your nail plate so you're causing more damage to your nail, not to mention the harm you can do to the softer new nail growth at the base of your nail plate! Acetone is the very worst thing to use on a damaged nail too 😡 Best to leave it to grow naturally and put up with a shorter nail for a week or two 😊
If you guys don't like it, then don't watch it
It's better using fake tips
It's the closest you're going to get to a "fix" once the nail has completely broken off. I use the teabag trick to help fix partially broken nails, but once it's gone the only options are to leave them uneven, cut the rest to match, or apply something artificial.
@@varm8878 a week or 2? more like a month or 2
I love the nails from Kiss! I bought the short square ones, and I love how natural they look!!!!
why is everyone pointing at the way she said necklace? i'm italian and i say necklace in the same way
+giulia sykes Because it's incorrect pronunciation from a native English speaker. It can be pronounced 'Nek liss' (AE), 'Nek less' (CE), Nek luss' (BE)... But it is NEVER 'Nek lace'!!
well us canadian say it like that so get over yourselves there is not just one way to pronounce words in english
Diana Lana no.
BTW that example of grammar was horrendous!
Yeah most Australians including myself say neck-lace. That's the correct way to say it over here.
Idk if this is me or not, but her voice is so URGH FRIKKEN SWEET AND CLEAR AND GOOD! 😍😍😍😭😭
You don't say "So let's get this cute polish design started" anymore😪
Can you do a video on tips and tricks about painting your nails with your opposite hand? Thanks. BTW you are my inspiration on painting nails. KEEP BEING YOU!
Check out her video on how to paint your nails perfectly
You're not actually fixing it... You're just covering it

Oh my god...Sandi you are a life saver! I have been waiting for this from you!! And hey, that's a great app!!
Love you, god bless!!
Neck lace. Are u srs
Nina Lights yes

I literally broke the same nail 2 days before you! Thanks for the tips! Now I don't have to sacrifice my nails!!
Wow nail art looks really cute on short nails!
This is a great tip, it looks really natural! I hate it when I break a nail..
OMG!! i broke my nail a day before my graduation ceremony!! i needed this video!!
For your next video or coming up, can you do a Q&A? I want to know which base and top coat you recommend ☺️💅
Ooh, I really like how that Kiss brand of fake nails looks. They look very nice quality.
Your voice is so relaxing ! I love you
Ok, so I just recently watched your face reveal and stuff, and oh my god! You are absolutely gorgeous!
Wish I would've seen this about an hour ago. I just cut all of my nails because of a broken one 😢 Also, great tip on the size matching. Thank you for this ☺
I love having a face to the voice lol. So much more personality comes through and its awesome(:

Great video. I don't know why I never thought of doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again for sharing!
ahh thank you Sandi! I've been growing out my nails since January and I broke one in half on the white part so I almost cut off all my nails today!
Yaassss! I was just about to do this, but wasnt sure if it would work. This definatly helped me. Could I also do the same thing with nail tips?
You should do tips for nail art on short nails!
idk why but this tutorial was really satisfying haha :)
This tutorial was really helpful thanks sandi! Can you please do a french mani tutorial?!
😩 wish I would've seen this tip before I decided to cut my nails shorter to match the broken one. I damn near cried when I had to do that. Awesome tip and I'm glad the glue won't destroy my nail bed, if removed correctly that is.
I love these artificial nails! I've been using them for years!
I'm loving ur new intros!
So glad I watched this! Now I can easily fix this! Thanks Sandi!
Could you please do a French manicure tutorial please?? PS I love your videos this helped me!!
U taught me how to pain my nails great cutepolish! I'm so happy ur awesome and p.s love ur nails
Your nails break so cleanly! Mine always break into the nail bed or on the surface of the nail which pisses me off... ):
I really like your app. I downloaded it right away. I like having all your designs at my fingertips. Thanks. I'd like to know how you fix a nail that is cracked partway across your nail? I always end up cutting it off because it catches on everything. I've tried glue but that only holds for a day or 2. This happens to me too often.
