Welcome to our neighborhood! We live about 3 miles from the campground. We bought a log cabin here about 20 years ago to retire to, while we were camping at the park. We sold our house and commercial building in Indianapolis during Covid, and moved here full-time. The people and the beauty of Southern Indiana is hard to beat. We still love loading up the RV and wandering for a few weeks at a time. The lake is awesome, since all the waterfront is public property. National Forest and State Recreation areas are all around. The only down side is we've been found out. More and more folks are coming to visit and some are staying. Some day it will get too crowded.
The lady bugs were released to help get rid of turkey mites/ticks. At least that's what I've been told. Glad you enjoyed Patoka Lake. Nice family, BTW. Peace out...
Sorry to respond to an older vid but just seeing your channel for first time. I live 3 mi from Patoka lake. The lake is second largest in Indiana at 8800 acres at normal pool and i think roughly 25,000 acres total but there are thousands of acres of national forest in the vicinity. The lake covers 3 counties. Those were pig nut hickory nuts. The modern campground is awesome and packed for Halloween.

Love you videos! Two things, you have a beautiful singing voice! You should sing in your videos more. And your lip should heal rather quickly. I did something similar and it turns out the mouth heals fast which I wouldn't have thought considering it stays wet. 👍🙂

My MIL use a hand vac to get all the stink bugs! It’s a stink bug graveyard in it!
My husband started doing that with the lady bugs
And now the stink bugs also lol
