That is very contradictory, first you say weapons loaders AVOID THE APU exhaust area for safety etc, Then you say the APU is designed to be turned OFF ie, turned OFF so loading can be performed. HUH. What is true here????
APUs are only on when they are needed then turned off. Weapons load crews don't have to worry about that as it won't be on for a weapons load. This is a clown show of a video.
In love with its maneuverability! Hands down F-22 is the best aircraft in terms of maneuverability. It's engines are a game changer and the exhaust can pivot 20 degrees up or down for thrust vectoring. And the fighter can supercruise as well.
All that fancy dogfighting shit is unnecessary with today’s tech, all air superiority is determined by stealth and beyond visual range acquisition and targeting capability.
The engine in the test stand was started with an air start. You can see the hose at the front. Nothing unusual about anything. Like the one guy said an APU so what.
King of the cost... I had to order 2 less, which is sad because they get cheaper when buying 12 at the time... So... only 10... I know I know... But I had to cancel 2; my girlfriend's ❤👱♀️❤ birthday is comming up $$$$! 🎁🎈🎉🎆🎇🎂🥂🍸🍾 😉
😂 So, the crazy technique is the use of an APU to start a jet engine? Man, that's shocking. Maybe they should think of rolling that idea out to other fighters, bombers and, get this, even civilian airliners. That would be a total revolution. Guess they might prefer AVPIN though. Much more fun to be had with Isopropyl Nitrate.
In Germany there were lot of Accidents with Starting Catriges. The Mechanics hated using this Things. They preferred GPU Starting. In Comercial Jetliners , they only uses APU Starting .
When stealth is not required, a better aircraft for the mission should be utilized as opposed to using an F-35. Considering the fact that an F-35 still can't carry as much ordinance as any other aircraft in the US military's arsenal.
What’s the “crazy” technique for starting these jet engines. I suspect a Coffman starter which was invented to start some planes IC engines in ww1 and adapted to start jets. The “crazy” APU system is fitted to every commercial jet since the beginning of commercial jets. Nothing new here then. Just American shield banging.
American shield banging? Moron. We have NEVER disclosed any of our good stuff. We don’t even give the full capabilities of all of our publicly known hardware, both sea, air and land. There’s an old American saying. “Walk quietly and carry a big stick.’ If you think we’re “shield banging “ with a little TH-cam video that some amateur made, think again.
Total BS clip thumbs down for mis info. Weapons ARE NOT loaded on powered aircraft except in the most dire of circumstances (which you’ll never see). So the APU exhaust is not relevant to loading, there’s no need to avoid it as a weapons loading team. Now the designers of the aircraft had to pay attention so exhaust wasn’t a problem for weapons or other components but total BS about ordnance crew need to take special precautions and all that other BS. How do I know? Aviation Ordnanceman USMC here. IYAOYAS
Its actually a cartridge start which negates apu assist to the engine.. one tiny electrical engine built-in to start main turbine . the F 15 by McDonald Douglas was original patent.. the cart start is used as a last resort and is quite effective as it requires only mechanical function..U.S.A.F crew chief F-4 & F-15 ret...p.s.stilll the fastest way to launch.. but causes global warming 😅
I am confused as to why an aircraft company would build an aircraft that has an exhaust for the apu forward on the fuselage. Why would anyone do that?? Now we see where all those BILLIONS OF DOLLARS were wasted.
Wow so my fridge can blow 3 compressors in a year and they really out here blowing up jet engines to start their new energy efficient engines and compressors
Adding missiles to the jet seems clunky and old-fashioned. Seems like they would have something other than 3/4 crew members slowly carrying & connecting a missile to a futuristic fighter jet like the F-22 Raptor.
One of room mates was a machenic at Castle AFB HE GOT ORDERS FOR VIETNAM 1962 . I NEVER KNEW IF HE CAME BACK HOME. HE DIDNT Like me and kept to himself. I have a picture of a group of guys and he is in it. He was never aggressive towards me he would never look at me!
Is it really that difficult for you guys to just get down to a point of which you thumbnailed it at?
So glad the brits gave America help with the jet engine back in 1940's. Frank Whittle, inventor of the jet engine, so seldom remembered now.
He well know here trust me love his centrifugal engine too bad mig 15 has it cheers
Wow!! An APU…..nothing like wetting your pants over something that’s been on aircraft for over 60 years.
best of the world.
Mistitled, this should state it's about loading weapons primarily with some added details of how some aircraft start-ups occur.
Also said the B-52 were high bypass ratio and low bypass ratio engines within 3-4 sentences. His scripts have gotten so sloppy.

Lolz feel pity for you , trying to make yourself feel something with this comment
@manny_111 yes you obviously did ... and imagine, I still need to pay for fueling them... buyer's remorse starts kicking in, I guess 😉

I LIKE FIGHTER JETS!
I LIKE TURTLES! 😂
F35; the hangar queen 😂

I'm pretty sure that the advanced stealth capabilities of the F-22 is its primary asset.
The F-22 can carry externally as well
Positioned on the PORT side !!
look good for hollywood movies , that's matter most, A game changer
I like the video Thanks you very much.

The F-22 cannot carry anything on its wings without utterly destroying its stealth characteristics.
I have many many parts on that bird!
Beautiful and capable, yet pricy, aircraft. 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
An APU is hardly ‘CRAZY’ technology…..

So it basically has a pup engine, like older heavy equipment like dozers
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
for that amount of 350million $ i expected uncle sam to offer rides in a two seater.
I was stationed at Castle AFB Cal. 1962 used to see a fighter jet., never saw the B-52..
You never discussed starting or why it’s “crazy“. Thumbs down for me.
gpu 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ever since you have switched to using chat GPT to write these I've stopped watching. Do better.
Show usa Show 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣

SU 30 is undoubtedly better than the F 22
😂😂😂
Riiiight.

An ungainly weakness in a highly overpriced and outdated piece of junk.
