Here in the U.S. it's called a Rogue and it comes only with a 2.5 I4 and a CVT. These are everywhere here.

That's kind of slow... The CVT seems to be the culprit. It's allowing the engine to rev outside its powerband, to 4000+.
If you want to simulate shift points, you should shift at about 3500.

The car got lot of road and engine noise in the cabin.
Lot of crackling from the hard plastics rubbing on eachother.

Curious fact: I have the Pulsar, I don't like the Qashqai (almost all people I know LOVE the Qash, and however I LOVE the X-trail, that I couldn't buy because It was too exoensive for me). I wouldn't like the diesel but the petrol model mmmmm. I wouldn't say no....good test Joe!!!!!

Hi. I'm interested in a 2nd hand Qashqai ( just the right size for me ), any word on their reliability which I've been told can be an issue I'm also told don't go near an auto. An opinion would be appreciated as I'm trying to gather as much
info as I can cause with reliability you can only go by various peoples experiences. Thanks.

    • @davidcasas3862
      @davidcasas3862 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@rayfordham9230 I have the Pulsar so I can't speak about the Qashqai reliability but there are a lot of components shared between the Qashqai and the Pulsar. Mine is the 1.2 Dig-t with 115 cv. It has 65.000 kms and no breakdowns' only the maintenance recommended by Nissan and no more. Fuel consum about 5'5 l./100 km extraurban and 6'5-7 urban with a non economic drive. The other day the mechanic salid me that the brakes are still new so until the next year no worries. There are forums telling about high oil consum of 1.2 engine but I change the oil each 10.000 kms ( two times/year) and the oil is always at the MAX. Hope this information will be useful for you and if you want the Qashqai, go for it!!!!

@@davidcasas3862 Thanks for that I did wonder if there was some
parts sharing going on there, I do know of two people who have
Qashqai and as you might guess one has had no problems in four
years and the other has had annoying small problems from day one
mostly electrical. I'll keep searching probably hire one for a week.
and how it goes, I must admit I haven't driven one for any distance
yet. Thanks for the reply much appreciated.

@@rayfordham9230 As I said, I'm very happy with my car reliability but as you know, nowadays, to have a reliable car is more a matter of luck than anoche thing. I bought my Pulsar because of my 1994 Nissan Primera GT. A car hard as a rock. And the Pulsar for the moment is the same. I think your idea of hire a Qashqai for a week is the best you can do to check how goes the car' performance, consum, confort and other things that nobody better than you can appreciate. Good luck!!!!0

@@davidcasas3862 thank you I think the hire route is the way to go,
many moons ago I had a Nissan Bluebird that I ran to 246,000 miles,
a lot of motorway miles but same engine, same gearbox, same clutch
apart from a new radiator at about 150,000 ( it didn't leak a lot of the
cooling fins in the rad came out so it ran out of cooling ability, new brake
pads and regular servicing that was it. A bit of a plodder but a very
reliable old beast. Good chat thanks.
