Good to see some people interested on what was being shown on the screens during the 1981 tour. shame no recording of it is available. On the nitro rock club 1981 upload, a man in the comments section says he recorded the gig but lost the tape
Nickelodeon Stuff this is surely one of the least well documented songs of that era as well, due to its relatively small status alongside the more well known tracks and how scarcely it was performed. I guess we’ll never know what was on the screens. I’d heard it was actually just static once or twice.
I saw the movie Metropolis and even though back in my memory the only song I first heard from Kraftwerk The Model still resounds I never though that actually he made a song theme for this futuristic film noir
Apocalyptic dystopic sound, yet very smooth and enjoyable. Kraftwerk are my heroes
👍😎

Ethy_bates For "The Robots" it appears that they played this video on the screens

@@CertainlyCaro Right, this can be seen clearly on the recording from Ohne Maulkorb.
But sometimes it looks like the tape playe read it badly
@@mateuszorlinski7334 no. The cameras just read the screens very badly.
@@ethy_bates_art It was only performed in the last concerts of the tour. I was at one of the earlier concerts in Cologne where they did not play it.
Kraftwerk is an aura more than it's a band
Согласна

Saw it too in the theatre. Great 1984 film with Morodor soundtrack.
Metropolis wasn’t film noir, it was made in 1927 and was German Expressionism.
The Model is like a 100% doomerwave track that doesn't even need any changes to be it
Masters of the middle tones
The kraftwerk group are the gods of electronic music, they are really respectable, I hope they are always healthy, these 4 great men of history❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
My wife saw the computer world tour around 80/81 at Newcastle city hall, one of my life regrets not seeing them during this period.
It must have been incredible, I have to say.
I have listened to this song.
Love it❤
thank you :)
This is awesome! 💜 Great art!
Fascinating... Sounded like some pitchbending vocoder work going on in there... ☮ 🔥🎹
