Magneto literally having a Jungian Shadow Persona moment with himself. I don’t think that would have hit me nearly as hard as it would have if this had been done five years ago. The acceptance of his failings and darkness, rather than rejecting them, and coming out of it a more whole and complete person. Done wonderfully, and made even better with Rob offering details and explanation. Hits hard. Hits good.

I kind of agree this reflects the concept that no matter how old you get we are always changing and evolving through either our own personal choices or how the world changes with us. When you’re young you’re optimistic and believe in miracles but as you get older you become cynical and you’ll lose a good deal of that faith realizing that at the end of the day there really isn’t any magic and that sometimes if you want something you have to work for it it won’t just magically appear in front of you all the time. And even if you are a religious person it is foolish to believe that every single prayer that you make is going to be answered by God because you are not the only person in this world when you think about it there are millions if not billions of people who also have prayers so you have to think if your prayer is as important as the other several billion people who are also praying. Anyway I like this dialogue it’s a perfect metaphor for one dealing with one’s self. It’s kind of like finding an old VHS tape in a box in the attic putting it in the machine and then seeing just how goofy you think you were back then and reflect on the person you are now.

I hope he catches up with his kids soon because they're in big trouble. Although I like that, Quicksilver is getting more respect in terms of his power set and potential abilities. Speedsters like him are way too slept on
@m.mulder8864 that is such a good point but then why not just have speedsters have their own unique threats and challenges to face? Just like having someone like Franklin Richard's, a universal reality shaper, but still capable of having interesting stories and unique showings of his power compared to other reality warpers like the Scarlet Witch
@@yoyomayne we do that quite often. Specifically with the Flash. Flash battles evil speedsters. The problem is that speed is still the defining factor and the escalating story requires escalating speed. The good speedster has to become faster than the bad speedster. That's when power scaling eventually raises their speed to the point where speed is now irrelevant as they can just do whatever they want.
@m.mulder8864 Right so maybe limit the speedsters to factors such as exhaustion or elevated deadly heart rates similar to A train from the boys. There should always be some type of weakness to exploit

There are articles that say that this shows that Xavier is a villain, but it's like, everyone has a dark side to them, and Xavier chooses to believe that best in people, and he is not a bad guy, he might be a bit naive and he might snap with Onslaught and other things from being continually hated and his students and family being hunted and attacked, but still, Xavier does not seem like that bad of a guy.

I was reading the fic "Maverick Solutions" and some of the Omakes went into a what-if situation if the MC was around during the Krokoa era and it had this version of Moira's Goal being the resurrection of Onslaught and using him to wipe out mutants and the reveal was where it ended.

I mean, the same criticizing you give to mags and storm for their power is literally the foundation for spiderman. They have great power so they should use it, mags def gets to play victim no matter how you feel. Hes stronger than most of us because at least he tried to direct it at a certain audience. Had some us gone what he went through, with his level of power, there wouldnt be a planet earth anymore.
