I never understood why gnashers only koth isn't a permanent ranked mode. But why do I ask these questions, I have given up on a long time ago...yet I still watch and hope for GoW to return to glory one day

This is like a KOTH I had on Blood Drive yesterday, 4 man squad all lancering. Anytime they did pull out shottys they got mopped up. People really be getting on this game thinking "Oh boy I cant wait to lancer people"
It be like that ! I prefer playing diamond 1 & Onyx 3 guys. Most of the games I played against them was like playing gnasher only KOTH with power weapons. It was straight carnage & so intense ! First round took 13minutes
They don’t think “I want to lancer people”. They get on “thinking I wanna win”. It is way more helpful than a bunch of random chumps running around with just their gnashes

Reminds me of the good old days..playing a stacked team with modded controllers and getting hammerbursted from across the map. Then they’d grab a meat shield and mod you down with the pistol. Left a few of those matches early.

I'm not sure why the gears community gets so upset with people using guns/utility that is literally put into the game to be used...
Because a support weapon shouldn't be used 24/7. It's designed to help you support your teammates when you're not close enough but people abuse it and sit back across the map just to lancer
Great game and gameplay brother. You were not being toxic, you were adapting to the battle. Icyy your a very well known player brother, these guy are not going to fist fight you with the shotgun. The opposition did very well keeping you guys in constant crossfire lanes and ambushes, from my perspective very well played on their part. You rose to the occasion and gutted out a VERY hard fought KOTH. Thank you for an entertaining video.
Exactly. Lancering is annoying as fuck, but it occasionally works. In pro matches they use lancer all the time. I guess the expectation is you won't have to lancer when playing with "noobs".
@@SaifulIslamShudipto Lancering is lame when you're playing solo players who can't fight back. Against a 3 man team and a pro in a masters lobby I don't see the issue. Ranked is supposed to be sweaty. The fact that people expect to "chill" in ranked shows that ranked isn't where it should be. And everyone doesn't want to go pro in a video game. Ranked is where some people like to sweat. No issue there.

Dude im a new subscriber i rather like ur gameplay but for real you do complain a lot. Complain about some parts of the game which just are 99% shot (understandable) ect but complaining about people lancering and how the game is played is too much dude. Thats how the game is don’t hate the player hate the game and how people choose to play and try to win shouldn’t be something ur complaining about. You have a lancer too use it, just because ur good wallbouncing and with the shotty doesnt mean everyone else is gonna be stuck to their shotty dude. If peeps decide to lancer away u adapt not complain and complain it takes away from enjoying the game when u do facts bro and im sure i aint the only of ur followers who thinks so too

Its not about adapting he can lancer better than those guys. The point is that its boring. By the logic you are using if they remove the gnasher you would say adapt. Thats dumb. You can criticize the game and its flaws. If you dont like something about the game you can criticize it.
@@11Icazo22 It is though, Gears has been Lancer and Shotgun since Gears 1 and in multiplayer since Gears 2 people have been using Lancer to their advantage to weaken at a distance. You can’t complain about people using the Lancer as they please if the game is about using every means possible to down and eliminate your opponents. Look at the gameplay for example he sometimes wall bounces and two pieces to down people can complain about that all they want but its part of the game. Yes he can probably lancer better than most but in this particular game once he realized they were lancering a lot he should have to in my opinion. In FFA its all gnasher if theres a game option to remove it and its all lancer then obviously u adapt in King of the Hill its all game use whatever to get Ks. U can’t criticize something that’s been the same since annex in the earlier gears games

I agree with this. Some people don't wish to go pro in a video game and have actual jobs they come home from so ranked is where they get their comp in. It wasn't like it was a team of randoms. It was a pro and a 3 man team. What's the problem? Then you have a lot of dick riders in the comments that act like you're supposed to lay down and lose because you're playing against Icy. Never got that mentality

@@danny_ucey Yeah some of the best and most fun matches I've had were when the whole lobby was rotating and playing the way they should. I've had them in stacks and duos myself. They were games where everyone was satisfied even when they lose. The "gnasher only" mentality is why the Elos server died. And I'm a guy who has had 75%+ of his kills being the gnasher since 2008. If you forced me to only use the gnasher I would have quit this series years ago. It gets boring with no variety
