Really the player is at fault because of our love of those characters that we save that hole in the ground and yet it's that same determined(read:obsession) LOVE that makes us break it tokeep the story going. Yes L.O.V.E. stands for level of violence but it also means what it says on the tin, love. It's because of that love we can`t let the game go, but sometimes when you truly love something It's best to let it go and if it doesn't come back? Then it never belonged to you.

I like how you depict Chara. They're not an angel or a demon. They're just a kid that follows Frisk around. They can be scary, but in a, is-that-blood-or-chocolate-ice-cream-dripping-from-their-mouth?-way. And it's more like their cosplaying people evil or something. They support what Frisk does, and they go along with it, and reach out to help Frisk and SAVE Asriel's soul. Not evil, not pure goodness, just a kid who probably has crippling depression and loves their family.

I like the idea the nobody in the underground, dead, alive, or inbetween, are truly evil, Gaster being this wacky cryptid, Chara just happily tagging along with Frisk, and Flowey... sort of being misunderstood and doing the things he did out of what I can only assume to be desperation to find meaning in his not-so-dead-or-alive state.
But also, one inaccuracy, when battling Undyne, Frisk uses one of Undyne's of spears as a shield, Undyne snapped one of hers to shorten it and gave it to them.

Yeah, even though Chara did something really messed up, poisoning themselves to death and manipulating Asriel, they still did it for a good cause, and possibly for revenge against humanity.

As someone who absolutely adores charas and asriel/floweys characters, this makes me very happy, you showing they aren’t exactly evil and honestly showed them exactly how i personally picture the two. I rarely see Chara content anymore and as someone who also has loved undertale sense it came out and I’m just so so happy, you guys did a wonderful job!
This animation is beautiful!! And while everyone’s talking about chara, I can’t help but just absolutely love the personality you gave frisk! They really come off as more determined and feisty, instead of the usual just plainly nice child personality everyone tends to portray them with. Example of this that I noticed is that they genuinely looked upset with toriel since she tried to keep them there against their will, even harming them in the process (and like- rightfully so-) It’s just such a nice fresh breath of air! (Also I love how you made chara so wholesome I love them as well-)

I know I’m late but this is an absolutely amazing animation! I love that Chara is depicted as being good instead of “an evil demon-child” or whatever, and Flowey throwing that cup at Gaster’s head at the end was priceless.
This is so amazing! It’s cool to see someone with a similar interpretation of Chara as mine, with them being the one to reach Asriel in the end with the memory.
Pretty logic though frisk couldn't have known before anyway, even with the tapes in the true lab and the story telling from other monsters, frisk couldn't have known what asriel looked like before the fight against him, nor know how chara looked like or how their relationship was from their point of view, because retelling a story is very different from living it
This might seem like an unusual comment, but I really like how you drew Frisk. I've always felt like Frisk has some sort of color to their skin, and I really like seeing Frisk drawn like that. And, you made Frisk look like a, you know, _child_, unlike a lot of the fandom. They aren't thin or sexualized, they have a child's body type. It was just kind of gratifying to see someone NOT making Frisk look weird. Tysm!!
OHHHHH I saw the first animation prototype thing last anniversary and I always wondered what happened to it! This was well worth the wait! Shockingly small amounts of animation show Chara in even a slightly positive light, and they’re my favorite character, so this made me really happy :) I really was smiling all the way through!
Finally, some ACTUALLY GOOD Chara content. I was getting really tired of all the negativity about Chara, and it's terrible that so much of the fandom thinks they are evil, when in reality, they're as much of a human as Frisk, if not more so because of their mistakes and flaws. They probably didn't know any other way to treat people like family, since their family was likely abusive to them. But that's just my headcanon, in any case, it's pretty clear Chara doesn't like humanity, and that outlook on life has to come from somewhere. The abused are something like 30% more likely to abuse others in their life, especially those younger than them. It's hard to break a cycle someone else started, you know? :(
This….this is so beautiful. The animation, the flavor text, knowing that Chara is with frisk throughout everything. It’s just like playing Undertale all over again. It’s when Ego tries the ratatouille and feels something he hasn’t felt in years. It’s so refreshing and hopeful for this fandom. Amazing work. All of you. ❤️
This is so beautiful. The animation was so smooth and pretty. You tore my heart out and stitched it back together. I felt all the feelings I felt when I first played Undertale in the span of four minutes. The voiced scene broke me. Every time Chara was on screen I felt something no one else seems to be able to capture. They are not the evil being the fandom has made them out to be, and you displayed that perfectly. I can see how much work and effort was put into this. You have some amazing dedication, or shall I say, determination. It may have taken you a while to get here but I can tell you it was worth it. If I had a nickel for every time I've seen a wholesome animation based on Toby Fox's creations with this song playing in the background, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.

it's been two years but you guys are still inspiring people. i know a lot of comments have showed attention for chara's image but i totally like how you portrayed everyone, starting with the first scene or so. when the lights were on in the beginning, everyone's positions were perfect and everyone was showing love, it was wholesome, such a good way to begin. then the rest has so much personality despicted, with every major scene and different armors and even weapons. chara and asriel's story starting with their friendship, ending with them continuing to dance but with their own tricks while still smiling... also i feel like it's just an intuitive fact that flowey's voice impression was perfect for the scene, good job with that. and the rest, asriel's battle and everyone, the silly face frames and especially the surface scenes are all so precious. i appreciate all the work you've put in, this was cool.

Can I just say that I absolutely adore how SMOOTH the animation is! It's absolutely breathtaking and just shows how much effort was put into this during the year it took to make! While this is two years late, I still want to applaud you for this masterpiece! I want to point out some of my favorite scenes! There was the Flowey speech and Chara then talking with Frisk at 1:45 that was amazing! I also greatly loved the voice acting there, it was very good! A little before that was the dance scene with Chara and Asriel/Flowey at 1:25 that was really great! Loved the small touch towards the end of the scene where both were practically attacking each other showing how they changed since both were children. The scene at 0:20 was absolutely adorable! Very cute! And then right after that the entire "fight" with Toriel at 0:24 was really nice! I really like how you showed that they were entering a battle by giving everything a dark blue hue! Very creative and cool! The animation on the fire was also very impressive! Loved the idea of the masks that show who they become in the future at 0:52! 3:13 Oh the face on Flowey was incredible! Creepy in a way that fits him! The whole transition at 3:30 that went from Frisk turning into their soul to Chara holding it and then the two of them getting together to team up has to be one of my favorite scenes among all those I named! It's so smooth and shows so much emotions and ugh I just adore it! The little dance with Toriel and Frisk at 3:54 was so cute! Loved it! And then the way it ended at 3:58 was just precious! Chara looks so happy! Oh and don't get me started on the expressions! All throughout the entire video, the expressions are so well done and show the characters feelings so well! Kudos to you on that one! Oof, I now realize how much I wrote haha! My bad my bad! I just felt like it needed to be adressed! Animating can be very hard, I've tried to in the past and I honestly gave up fairly fast for many reasons (some of which were the complexities of animating and my artstyle just not being polished enough yet for me to just jump to animating yet), so I know a bit of the difficulties of animating and to see something so good just has me gushing over it! This honestly deserves so much more recognition! Anyways, I'll stop now, I think I've said enough haha

I've only found this video two years later and there are no words I can use to fully describe what I felt, I loved this. It's the most wholesome thing I've ever seen, it's the most cute thing I've ever seen. I was suprised and shocked on the twists and I really think this is the best way to make an undertale unniverssary. Every character, every detail, exery expression, it's just perfect Edit: Also, why does Frisk look like Steven from SU in some frames? Like, it fits the animation and the message and the everything (wholesome stuff), but it's still kinda funny to just pause a frame and be like "What are YOU doing here!"
OUGHHHH THIS IS SO GOOD I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. FOUND IT NOW AFTER A COUPLE YEARS BUT BY GOD WAHHHHH. I loved how everyonr was cateorized and the COLORS. THE. COLORS!!! THE PALLETE adjusted well for eqch setting, and i loved how some parts were shown like scenes in a play. The transition between Chara dancing with Asriel to flowey, MWAH. THE ADDED DIALOUGE MADE ME SO EMOTIONAL. NOT THE CHARA "my best friend" guh. Keep up your art!

I have listened not only the two albums but also the side projects (Hawaii Part: II, Joe Hawley Joe Hawley, Not a Trampoline, Sketches 3D, & Cojum Dip) and various singles and demos. I am practically obsessed with this band and this is in part because of a comment some random person left on an undertale animation. Thank you so much.
Currently this might be my favourite Undertale animation It's very unique and despite telling the same story most do, it does it in its own way. Like, how you showed human/monster war in a form of theatre rather than just typical scene, how Chara is present and participates in a final battle (that's also kinda unique, though more people believe in narra Chara now), how Frisk actually looks determined rather than just nice, how Chara's and Asriel's backstory isn't just one scene and keeps appearing from time to time. And my personal favourite is the dance scene. Starting like two kids just dancing together, but then Asriel becomes Flowey and first they are still just holding "hands", but then Chara takes out a knife and Flowey tangles them with vines and thorns and it reall shows who they became and how they went from best friends to enemies, and then it goes to reset section and genocide route. Seriously, this is just too perfect, I don't have enough words to describe that scene, it's beautiful

You get it. A beautiful interpretation of this game. I love the events that occur after with Toriel and Frisk dancing. The game metaphor trio: Player analogue, Player avatar, and Dr. Cut Content. All being stuck outside with a symbolic THE END door mat is so poignant. This is one of the few animations that seems to touch on all the metaphors, and how the fallen child mirrors us as players in a way. Well done. This is special, and fills me with the same excitement that I felt when I first played the game. Thank you for lighting that fire again. You've helped someone get through the work week

As someone who absolutely adores charas and asriel/floweys characters, this makes me very happy, you showing they aren’t exactly evil and honestly showed them exactly how i personally picture the two. I rarely see Chara content anymore and as someone who also has loved undertale sense it came out and I’m just so so happy, you guys did a wonderful job!
This animation is beautiful!! And while everyone’s talking about chara, I can’t help but just absolutely love the personality you gave frisk! They really come off as more determined and feisty, instead of the usual just plainly nice child personality everyone tends to portray them with. Example of this that I noticed is that they genuinely looked upset with toriel since she tried to keep them there against their will, even harming them in the process (and like- rightfully so-)
It’s just such a nice fresh breath of air!

I know I’m late but this is an absolutely amazing animation! I love that Chara is depicted as being good instead of “an evil demon-child” or whatever, and Flowey throwing that cup at Gaster’s head at the end was priceless.
That was incredible, best interpretation, I no longer consider Chara as purely a creepy villain, love the redemption arc

This is so amazing! It’s cool to see someone with a similar interpretation of Chara as mine, with them being the one to reach Asriel in the end with the memory.
Pretty logic though frisk couldn't have known before anyway, even with the tapes in the true lab and the story telling from other monsters, frisk couldn't have known what asriel looked like before the fight against him, nor know how chara looked like or how their relationship was from their point of view, because retelling a story is very different from living it
This might seem like an unusual comment, but I really like how you drew Frisk. I've always felt like Frisk has some sort of color to their skin, and I really like seeing Frisk drawn like that. And, you made Frisk look like a, you know, _child_, unlike a lot of the fandom. They aren't thin or sexualized, they have a child's body type. It was just kind of gratifying to see someone NOT making Frisk look weird. Tysm!!
OHHHHH I saw the first animation prototype thing last anniversary and I always wondered what happened to it! This was well worth the wait! Shockingly small amounts of animation show Chara in even a slightly positive light, and they’re my favorite character, so this made me really happy :) I really was smiling all the way through!
Finally, some ACTUALLY GOOD Chara content. I was getting really tired of all the negativity about Chara, and it's terrible that so much of the fandom thinks they are evil, when in reality, they're as much of a human as Frisk, if not more so because of their mistakes and flaws. They probably didn't know any other way to treat people like family, since their family was likely abusive to them. But that's just my headcanon, in any case, it's pretty clear Chara doesn't like humanity, and that outlook on life has to come from somewhere. The abused are something like 30% more likely to abuse others in their life, especially those younger than them. It's hard to break a cycle someone else started, you know? :(

This….this is so beautiful. The animation, the flavor text, knowing that Chara is with frisk throughout everything. It’s just like playing Undertale all over again. It’s when Ego tries the ratatouille and feels something he hasn’t felt in years. It’s so refreshing and hopeful for this fandom. Amazing work. All of you. ❤️

This is so beautiful. The animation was so smooth and pretty. You tore my heart out and stitched it back together. I felt all the feelings I felt when I first played Undertale in the span of four minutes. The voiced scene broke me.
Every time Chara was on screen I felt something no one else seems to be able to capture. They are not the evil being the fandom has made them out to be, and you displayed that perfectly.
I can see how much work and effort was put into this. You have some amazing dedication, or shall I say, determination. It may have taken you a while to get here but I can tell you it was worth it. I'm so glad I could be here to see this grow to be the masterpiece that it is.

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen a wholesome animation based on Toby Fox's creations with this song playing in the background, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.
This was absolutely amazing. I actually love this. The art style is so cute, I love how you draw Frisk! Also you didn’t make Chara evil, which I’m very happy to see. This was just really cute and wholesome, reminded me how much I love the game.

it's been two years but you guys are still inspiring people. i know a lot of comments have showed attention for chara's image but i totally like how you portrayed everyone, starting with the first scene or so. when the lights were on in the beginning, everyone's positions were perfect and everyone was showing love, it was wholesome, such a good way to begin. then the rest has so much personality despicted, with every major scene and different armors and even weapons. chara and asriel's story starting with their friendship, ending with them continuing to dance but with their own tricks while still smiling...
also i feel like it's just an intuitive fact that flowey's voice impression was perfect for the scene, good job with that. and the rest, asriel's battle and everyone, the silly face frames and especially the surface scenes are all so precious. i appreciate all the work you've put in, this was cool.

Can I just say that I absolutely adore how SMOOTH the animation is! It's absolutely breathtaking and just shows how much effort was put into this during the year it took to make! While this is two years late, I still want to applaud you for this masterpiece!
I want to point out some of my favorite scenes!
There was the Flowey speech and Chara then talking with Frisk at 1:45 that was amazing! I also greatly loved the voice acting there, it was very good!
A little before that was the dance scene with Chara and Asriel/Flowey at 1:25 that was really great! Loved the small touch towards the end of the scene where both were practically attacking each other showing how they changed since both were children.
The scene at 0:20 was absolutely adorable! Very cute!
And then right after that the entire "fight" with Toriel at 0:24 was really nice! I really like how you showed that they were entering a battle by giving everything a dark blue hue! Very creative and cool! The animation on the fire was also very impressive!
Loved the idea of the masks that show who they become in the future at 0:52!
3:13 Oh the face on Flowey was incredible! Creepy in a way that fits him!
The whole transition at 3:30 that went from Frisk turning into their soul to Chara holding it and then the two of them getting together to team up has to be one of my favorite scenes among all those I named! It's so smooth and shows so much emotions and ugh I just adore it!
The little dance with Toriel and Frisk at 3:54 was so cute! Loved it!
And then the way it ended at 3:58 was just precious! Chara looks so happy!
Oh and don't get me started on the expressions! All throughout the entire video, the expressions are so well done and show the characters feelings so well! Kudos to you on that one!
Oof, I now realize how much I wrote haha! My bad my bad! I just felt like it needed to be adressed! Animating can be very hard, I've tried to in the past and I honestly gave up fairly fast for many reasons (some of which were the complexities of animating and my artstyle just not being polished enough yet for me to just jump to animating yet), so I know a bit of the difficulties of animating and to see something so good just has me gushing over it! This honestly deserves so much more recognition!

I've only found this video two years later and there are no words I can use to fully describe what I felt, I loved this.
It's the most wholesome thing I've ever seen, it's the most cute thing I've ever seen. I was suprised and shocked on the twists and I really think this is the best way to make an undertale unniverssary. Every character, every detail, exery expression, it's just perfect
Edit: Also, why does Frisk look like Steven from SU in some frames? Like, it fits the animation and the message and the everything (wholesome stuff), but it's still kinda funny to just pause a frame and be like "What are YOU doing here!"

OUGHHHH THIS IS SO GOOD I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. FOUND IT NOW AFTER A COUPLE YEARS BUT BY GOD WAHHHHH. I loved how everyonr was cateorized and the COLORS. THE. COLORS!!! THE PALLETE adjusted well for eqch setting, and i loved how some parts were shown like scenes in a play. The transition between Chara dancing with Asriel to flowey, MWAH. THE ADDED DIALOUGE MADE ME SO EMOTIONAL. NOT THE CHARA "my best friend" guh. Keep up your art!
The ending had me at the verge of tears. I almost cried, and I can't help but thank you for making this. This is a work of art, and I hope all of you who worked on it realize how incredible it is. Thank you for putting a smile on my face ♥

You know I heard this song when I was a kid through undertale animations and then the ruler of everything meme happened so I looked up the song to try and understand it then I started to listen to the other song so I made is tally Hall is one of my favorite bands now

After reading your comment I felt inclined to listen to Tally Hall's other songs (the only one I'd heard was Turn the Lights Off). I listened to both of their albums and I love them! I have listened not only the two albums but also the side projects (Hawaii Part: II, Joe Hawley Joe Hawley, Not a Trampoline, Sketches 3D, & Cojum Dip) and various singles and demos. I am practically obsessed with this band and this is in part because of a comment some random person left on an undertale animation. Thank you so much.

Currently this might be my favourite Undertale animation
It's very unique and despite telling the same story most do, it does it in its own way. Like, how you showed human/monster war in a form of theatre rather than just typical scene, how Chara is present and participates in a final battle (that's also kinda unique, though more people believe in narra Chara now), how Frisk actually looks determined rather than just nice, how Chara's and Asriel's backstory isn't just one scene and keeps appearing from time to time.
And my personal favourite is the dance scene. Starting like two kids just dancing together, but then Asriel becomes Flowey and first they are still just holding "hands", but then Chara takes out a knife and Flowey tangles them with vines and thorns and it reall shows who they became and how they went from best friends to enemies, and then it goes to reset section and genocide route. Seriously, this is just too perfect, I don't have enough words to describe that scene, it's beautiful

You get it. A beautiful interpretation of this game. I love the events that occur after with Toriel and Frisk dancing.
The game metaphor trio: Player analogue, Player avatar, and Dr. Cut Content. All being stuck outside with a symbolic THE END door mat is so poignant. This is one of the few animations that seems to touch on all the metaphors, and how the fallen child mirrors us as players in a way.
Well done. This is special, and fills me with the same excitement that I felt when I first played the game. Thank you for lighting that fire again. You've helped someone get through the work week
