I encountered a similar issue with my Sealion L15 dive light. Upon contacting their after-sales service, I was impressed by their prompt response and immediate assistance in resolving the issue. They provided me with a replacement battery compartment, which I noticed was an improved version. After installing it, I tested the light several times and the problem was no longer present. Upon reviewing the battery chip issue you highlighted in your video, I can confirm from my own experience that the Sealion L15 batteries indeed incorporate a protection chip.
I had the same problem with myL-15 light. If you put silicone around the O-ring inside the cap, this resolves a problem. I think when you tighten it down without lubrication on the O-ring, the whole cartridge spins inside the case, putting pressure on the side of the cartridge so it doesn’t make good contact. I once you lubricate the O-ring inside at least on my case it works perfectly every time. Just FYI.
regardless.. the fact that the B24 for less money lasted significant longer in duration.. and I can't fit protected batteries in the L15, is the core issue...

I just received my B24. Keen to get it in the water. Thank you for your reviews of more economical options.
Let me know how it goes. Always interested to hear. Hey we have an expensive sport, why pay more than you have to.
