Dude thats magic, I work as a pompist at a gas station and never thought about using gas to remove those stupid stickers! Thanks for that video, reminded me of how versatile diesel and fuel are!

GREAT tip! Love it. Nothing works like the old school tricks. My Dad and I used to clean our greasy hands w/ gas when we worked on cars together.

I use wd-40. Or an extremely light amount of carburetor cleaner on a shop towel. Nice video.

Thanks for this. I need to remove a couple of those stickers from my new Honda NC750X. Personally, I would use baby oil. It works great for removing sticky stuff and smells a lot better than gasoline. I use it frequently removing sticker residue from mugs, etc. I found this out a long time ago after gluing something and not being able to get the glue off my fingers, then using baby oil to massage my legs.

I'm going to try that on my 2005 gsxr decal glue, that I've tried wd40, goo gone and tar and bug remover to no avail, will try the gas, thank you for the great tip

I only use WD-40 or some rubbing alcohol. At least that way your bike won't smell like gas😂
I also use Meguiars products, I have the bike detailing kit which they now sell for am arm and a leg

Paint thinner or vpm naphtha will clean most stickers off of paint or clear coat. It wont harm the finish. World real well

like the video but my case was different i have a old 1980 honda. took the pin strips off the gass tank.I made shure it was good and dry before sanding. it was a bugger to get off!. I had to use wd40. Now the reason i did this was because i am repainting the whole tank. I only hade 0000 ought steel wool. It was a verry tedious prossess but i agree with ya. Some times you can use a little gass. Lol i tried that and no results. These new stickers are not as bad as the old ones. And im shure that my case was due to it being so old and that it might have not been a garage kept bike.

Wish I saw this one single day ago. I was using windex with ammonia and it was about 90% effective. I'll try some gas tomorrow to get off the remaining 5-10%.

It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway...... once you've used the first end of the workshop wipe DO NOT PUT IT BACK IN THE TANK! No double dipping. If any of the sticky residue gets in to your fuel tank, it could very possibly cause you a major headache. I'm not saying you did in the video, in fact I'm certain you didn't. However you didn't explicitly impart this crucial nugget of information to the great unwashed viewership, and as sure as eggs is eggs, some numpty will dunk his glue strewn rag in to the petrol tank over and over again then two days later be sat looking at his pristine paintwork whilst waiting for a recovery truck. I know 99.9% of your viewers would never dream of doing something so stupid, but there is always one. Sometimes it doesn't matter how big a hammer you use, you just cant fix stupid.

Wouldn’t rubbing alcohol be a little less harmful to the paint than petrol? Genuinely asking. It’s only once off so I’m sure either is fine.
Anyone who bought the Yamaha R3 with those hideous Monster decals needs to see this video.

So I’m an idiot and over tightened my left side upper rear suspension stud....and stripped a good couple cms because I didn’t have a wrench that I could adjust the fpt.......now I don’t have enough stud to contain both the left suspension and this EOM rack that I got for my monkey....anybody know what to do? I called my dealership and they said the stud is fused with the actual frame because honda decided to make it this way and now.....I’m screwed....HELPPPPP

Agree, this extremely simple method could have been explained and demonstrated in 2-3 minutes rather than 10. Also, this was done on a new or newer bike. Only a small percentage of bikes on the road are new. What about older bikes with stickers hardened onto plastic panels? Sure isn’t going to peel off with a fingernail, already tried that. Several people have asked this question without any reply.

Personally I'd stay away from all solvents and spirits!
All you need is your wife's/girlfriend's hairdryer, saliva, and your own God-given fingerprint.
Warm it up, wet it down, rub it off!
    Easy!
    Great video as ever, though!
