A few weeks ago, Trail Features and I had a group ride at Walnut Creek Park. I have a few other videos of Walnut, so I decided to make a quick little edit of the group playing. Enjoy!

This was fantastic! It totally captures how much fun it is to get out on the trails with fellow riders. That golden moment where everyone gets to feel like a kid again, and join the great rolling circus!

Do it at Brushy. Lots of options to cater to everyone and their gnar preferences. Everything from green to double black trails.Loads of parking options away from crowds and with picnic tables.

ok, now I KNOW to never, ever go to walnut on the weekend. ever. Bad enough on weekday evenings. That shit would drive me insane.
EvilBonsai it was only really bad because of the softball tournament.
That was a fun no pressure ride. It was good meeting everyone and having a spin around Walnut. Can't wait for the next group ride.

I just moved to ATX and apparently very much near the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park. Wish I would have joined you all, I guess it's time to be in the know.

If you are free Tuesdays around 5-8 or 9ish, there is a weekly ride called Ride and Imbibe in the Walnut Creek parking lot. There's a grill 90% of the time and you are highly suggested to bring beer for after the ride. Most of the people there are in the Austin Ridge Riders (large local trail building/maintenance/advocacy group) and are very friendly and welcoming to newcomers. If you bring beer and tortillas (someone always forgets the GDMF tortillas) they will love you.
