I live in Utah and yeah, there really isn't. Lake Point (Exit 99) is really your last best chance to fuel up before getting to Wendover, NV and between there and Winnemucca there's a small town named Elko. Outside of those towns, really your next best chance at fuel/food/rest before reaching California is Reno. Then again, once you hit I-80 westbound from Reno, you're practically in California by that point.
My family and I went to San Francisco in October 2009 and we drove from salt lake city to San Francisco, when we got to San Francisco, it was around 11:00PM and when we came home, it was 3:00 in the morning
No way ! The distance from San Francisco to Salt Lake City is 735 miles . The trip takes 11 hours and 10 minutes unless you were in a supersonic car or speeding .
@@derrickw5204 We didn't come back to salt lake the same night we got to San Francisco, We left Salt Lake to go to San Francisco on a Wednesday and then the following Sunday is when we left San Francisco and came back to salt lake but we didn't get home until the next morning which was Monday. I think it was either 7 o'clock or 8 o'clock in the morning when we left Salt Lake City and then when we left San Francisco the following Sunday, I think it was like 10 o'clock in the morning. And we stopped at times to get gas, food, ect.
I've made the drive to Salt Lake City, and back. I didn't enjoy the drivers they were terrible there ha. I thought Salt Lake to Snowville was just the shits ha. They had construction for about 60 miles out of Ogden with cones.
@@catoen4956 Yeah it was at night time, and they were putting new asphalt down. It's a stretch that just takes a beating and gets worn down from all the deliveries. I hope they get the Amtrak into Salt Lake again. However the fed just denied some money for it. Ugh.
I grew up in Utah and everyone around here goes a minimum of 15-20mph over the limit. I'll be the only one not speeding and have someone riding my rear bumper
I live north of Salt Lake City thank you for recording here! This makes me feel special 😊

The I-80 stretch between Salt Lake City UT To Wendover NV is about as desolate as I-40 from Barstow to Needles Ca.🤔🤔🤔🤔
