I have been watching your videos ever since I decided to move to Canada. I have to say that I always thought you were a native English speaker who happened to have studied in International Schools worldwide and then decided to move to Canada, UNTIL I WATCHED THIS VIDEO. My jaw dropped when I heard your 2013 version speak in broken English. Hats off to you! It takes a lot of hard work, commitment and patience to have come this far. P.S Just got my ITA in Nov - hopefully PR in the coming months ;) Will be moving to Canada from Ireland very soon :)

Thanks for sharing this beautiful journey with us ❤️
This is so amazing. Congrats! Native English speakers are so lucky to have grown up speaking such a global language. Your journals and journey to learn English show a lot!
Congratulations with your Canadian PR Card from Russia! Very inspiring story! I wish one day, I'll come to US or Canada to live my best life and work hard towards my goals!
The video gave a lot of inspiration for me. Living in Canada, loneliness, suffering from Covid19, school life and separation with bof, etc.) but, you really make me think I can do it. Thanks

Hey Hana, you are the very definition of hard work, you are the epitome of perseverance. I'm so glad that you got your PR after years of struggle in Canada. I came across your apartment vlog this morning and I was so genuinely impressed by your organisation skills, P.S., I too suffer from OCD. Your video was so good that i was naturally inclined to check out the rest of your channel and it lead me to this video. Trust me, when I heard your recording of you speak english in 2014 I was both surprised and bewildered because this stupid brain of mine presumed that you always spoke english. I continued to watch the rest of your video, following you, you stating your struggles and achievements throughout the Hana timeline and it was an eye-opener for me. This video has reinvigorated a new energy in my life and has convinced me to work hard and never ever give up on my dreams. Thank you for taking the time and putting the effort to make these videos, because it is truly inspiring. I am looking to move to Toronto in a year via a student visa, I pray to god that it ends up culminating in me getting a PR in Canada. Please keep do continue making these videos and I know it's a little late but congratulations on your PR. Good luck and thanks Hana !
I live in France for almost 3 years now, just finished school and im currently transitioning to work life. Sometimes it seems hard and lonely but now after watching ur video im just proud of what i overcome so far and excited for the future. so THANK U so much cutie for the motivation to hang in there cuz i know that one day i will be living the life ive always dreamt of.
I was so touched when I see the self-love from the letters💞 This is so lovely and warm. That is how you become the person you are today! So proud of you. I should write a letter to myself everyeyar too! Finally, congrats on the new job and PR! 🥰
just finished the entire video. very inspiring. very brave of her to come to Canada knowing minimal English through now, speaking English like a native, getting herself permanent residency, getting a job and being able to afford the high living expenses...super brave for a local korean girl to embark on an adventure to Canada.
I cried so many times watching your video. Thanks for sharing with us this true encouraging story of yours and I really love how amazingly brave and resilient you are during the whole process. It's like observed someone grow up and become a mature adult within 30 minutes. Really so proud of you and you inspired me so much!
Hi I am from India. Whoever you are Shana, your's is an inspiring video. I was sharing this link with others in the family. This is what I wrote in that message "These kind of videos inspire me. When you don't know a language and to fit into a system is like climbing a mountain, with frustration and defeat staring at you from all angles. This then is the spirit to conquer, however impossible the future holds. It will be people like these that Canada will want. The never say die spirit."
I'm a person who sent you commercial suggestion mail from korean blind company a few months ago And suddenly this video pops up in my personal account I'm here with a working holiday visa as you had And I can't believe that how incredible time you spent during 7 years Begging of this video I surprise that your English is perfect(I knew you're korean) And after a few seconds, I realized why your English is that good You have a lot of big passion, talent, power I'm happy with your story Thank you
I just subbed to you, and by watching this, it feels like I've gone thru all these ups and downs with you. I'm SOOO happy to see what you've achieved as well. Cheers!
I tear up literally 2 mins into the video. You inspire me so much, I know about UX from your videos and I’ve decide to go after it 😤. Thank you Hana, sending you muchhhh loveeee ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi, Hana. I'm a new fan. I've been bingewatching your videos, and I must say you have inspired me to do better and even work harder. Seeing this video made me believe that really change is inevitable and hardwork really does pay off. Thank you and stay awesome!
🥰 🥳 Congratulations first to your PR. We have so many similarities in terms of Canadian experience. I came to Canada in 2015 and went to GBC in 2015-2016(2015 ESL 2016 Wireless networking) and I’m living at Yonge/Finch right now🤣. Language was definitely biggest barrier for me in the first few years. I feel so related when you’re talking about tuition fee, work visa, looking for a job, apply for a PR. 🥴been through all of them, but everything has turned out good now 👍 😊.
I have to say you did the great jobs!!!! I was absolutely touching when I watched this video. It's so encouraging how you went through living here. I am exactly like you and I have no confident and can't speak English fluently in front of people. I came to Toronto last August and I also did some freelance projects for schools previously. Undoubtedly, of course like you I have to earn money to stay here, apply for the PR card in order to provide the best education for my daughter. I don't mind I gave up everything from my original country for sending her here to chase her dreams. If possible, we can reach out someday to share each other. Love you and all the best.
Congratulations on the huge achievement! Such a crazy long journey and inspiring. I'm planning to study in Toronto too you inspire me to study and pursue my dream in Toronto ❤🇨🇦💞
Catching up on your videos. Congratulations Hana! I hope you have true peace of mind and an even greater sense of home in Toronto now. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. 💗
Hey Hana, this is the first time that I stumbled upon your youtube channel, if you're reading this...you're an inspiration! I'm moving to Canada soon and I feel vulnerable but looking at how far you've come makes me so happy and hopeful. I had tear rolling down my cheeks everytime you read one of your letters. Congratulations on your PR and all your upcoming ventures...sending much love xoxo
Congratulations :) An amazing and inspiring story. Your accent is so good too! I came to Canada about 2 and a half years ago and was able to become a permanent resident a few weeks ago.
Congratulations Hana 🎉🎊💖👑 I am in awe of your journey thus far and you should wholeheartedly feel proud of yourself. When watching this video I felt like I was travelling through time with you, those letters to yourself are private and precious, Thank you for sharing and it is an honour and privilege to hear/see/know your story. You are an inspiration! Sending you lots of Love, stay safe and well 😊🙏🏽
I couldn't stop crying while watching this video. I have been a fan of your channel (and you) from the first video but I think it's first time to write a comment. Whenever I want to be lazy, I watch your youtube and jump out of the bed. I am far from perfection but I learn & inspired a lot from you. Thank you Hana! Wish you all the best your PR life in Canada!
Hi Hana. I’m inspired by your content all the time. And seeing someone who had similar problem like me and finally getting over it always gives me a motivation. I’m happy that you shared this experience with your audience. I wish you all the best and happiness 🎉
so related to your journey as the one who has applied for Green Card Process in the us and has been waiting for it to get thru. congrats on your PR and the best luck to you and your journey.
Congratulations Hana! I’m so proud of you that you’ve achieved so many things and got a PR as a result of your hard work! I usually don’t leave a comment on any social media but I couldn’t help saying thank you for sharing your beautiful journey and inspiring me. Wishing you all the best for your continuous journey xx
Its really commendable the struggle that you had to endure and the happy tears , I love everything about this video. From speaking very little to no english and now making videos in English, that is a journey that I would like to hear again and again. Make another video on how you taught yourself to speak English as a native speaker.
A lot of dedication and hard work to stay aboard on your own. Respect, as I know Toronto isn't always the easiest to get work in. Newcomers here have a lot hardships but in the long-run, a lot to do get ahead. Good to hear a story of someone succeeding here! Very inspirational and respect!
Congratulations, Hana! So so so well deserved! Your journey reminds me a lot of my younger self as I went through the same process as you :) I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors. Last but not least, welcome home 🇨🇦 P.S. I had a good cry from this video lol
ever since i stumbled across one of your videos, 1 year ago, i've consistently watched your videos. coming from an 18 year old (almost 19) girl born in canada, i am so proud of you. even though i am a stranger, it's been so lovely to see you grow into the wonderful woman you are now. congratulations on becoming a PR!!! this is so exciting and i just know little hana never fathomed this moment would be real but it is! you are doing so well and so hard working. the details you put into making your videos don't go unnoticed and i hope you become successful in the future! hope 2022 is an even better year than the one before ❤️
wow how you improve english is so wonderful. tbh i thought you just said that you weren't good at in english you just were humble. but i heard you spoke back then and i was like woww Hana you have studied so hard. you inspire me a lot
OMG! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! I came to the UK one year ago as an international student and was so confused about my future, my career and my life for this one year. I have the same problem with you, like language barriers and visa issues. I can totally understand this feelings and actually I cry many times when watching this vlog! And after receiving 999+ rejection, I finally get a full-time job offer! Hana, I'm pretty sure that you must be very thankful to yourself now. You work really hard and you deserve all of the best life! ❤️ Thank you for making this video, it inspires me a lot.
WTH!!! THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO YOU UPLOADED. tbh u inspired me to push through to study in Canada (back when I was still in PH). I can feel all the emotions and stories shown in this video. Very relatable. I'm very happy with your achievement and hoping to get mine soon too. All the best and keep on doing what you want. Supporting you endlessly *Rock on sign* PS: Wow. Your English back in 2015 has improved so much. Still working on mine too 😅
I have SO much respect for you Hana. Holy shiiet lol I've been feeling depressed because my S/O lives in Canada and it's been such a struggle trying to find a job that will sponsor me. And I'm from America and English is my first language. So knowing people like you who work so hard despite language barriers, makes me feel like I'm not trying hard enough lol so thank you for this. I needed the motivation. Also PS, I like listening to you speak in Korean because Korean is my second language but I SUCK AT IT because I'm super white-washed and my bf is also white lol so hearing you talk makes me practice.
Oh Hana congratulations. I also started my pr journey and oh boy I’m all kinds of emotions right now. I tap into your blessing 🙏. You are already an over comer. Enjoy
As a fellow immigrant still waiting to hear from IRCC about my PR, I just want to tell you congratulations 🎉 this video was so inspirational and motivating. So happy for! “Go Little Rock Star ⭐️ “
Wow the way I got so emotional. I moved to US and same as you had no experience with English at all. You knew more than me before moving. I only knew the days, months, colors and numbers because I try to learn something days before. And now 8 years later I can think in English the same way I think in my native language. And the struggles I went through learning this new language. I never thought I would learn it at all. I felt very stupid. I am very proud of how far we have come. 👏🏾
i love this video. there were segments which i re-watched again and again coz i felt very emotional. ur 2015-18 hit me hard. am 24 and i don't know what am doing with my life but the courage this video gives me is immense. Thank you.
It's been 6 years since I graduated from UofT and left Toronto to start a new life in Frankfurt, Germany. The thrill of independence and self discovery is always shadowed by this longing for home.
Congratulations!! I'm gonna apply for Canadian PR in the next half a year and I've been working for my PR for about 5 years now in Canada. I understand how it was hard would be. I hope you all the best for your future journey 🧡
Damn man .. first time in this channel since it popped up on my feed just now and I instantly thought she was native to the West so I kind of wondered why she had to get PR .. then she showed the clips of her speaking English 7 years ago ... i'm kind of blown away by the progress .. I have known Chinese, Japanese, Philippine's etc who have lived in Canada for over 20 years and still have heavy accents and slip up on Grammar all the time. Very impressive and something you should be proud of as well. Great video.
i’m a new fans from taiwan ~ i really like your video style ! when i feel bad in my life i watch your video then i will feel better and full of power to continue to face challenges . thank you💪🏻💪🏻☺️
It really inspired me a lot. I just an new comer to Canada for around 3 weeks. And i am struggling too. I am facing the language barrier too. Really hope that u can share ur notes to us and experience for us. Also, i decide to learn from u and write a letter to future me too. Thanks for your video. It really mean sth to me.
Every New comers always struggle with language barrier. I totally understand them because English isn’t their first language. I’m pretty sure Your video can relate to a lot of people and might help them to understand how much foreign people have to go through difficult times in everyday lives to survive. I think you have come a long way. Keeping up.
Cannot believe how you speak English fluently, I have a lot of Korean friends but they cannot speak well. But you are extraordinary. Probably you have good at bast on English.
I'm actually amazed this quality of content is for free here on TH-cam. Your storytelling, attention to detail and video editing is on another level. I would seriously pay to watch your videos/see your content. Thank you so much for your hard work!
This is so emotional for me 😫, I shared tears watching this … I love how you documented everything. I’m thinking of moving to Canada and this was so inspiring to me 😌
Congratulation Hana, feeling happy for what you achieve! I almost cry when I see you cry while you are reading the letter! I love to hear you speak English! Is very native! I wish I will get my PR this year soon!
I have been a subscriber for a few months and I always thought you had a perfect life and envied you so much. I have been in Canada for 3 years now and it’s been hard to be honest but watching this video and hearing your story gives me hope that things will get better with time and hard work. Thank you so much for sharing, sending you love and light 🤍
정말 긴 시간 타지에서 외롭고 힘든 시간 이겨내신만큼 좋은 결과가 나타나서 참 한편으로는 뿌듯한 마음도 드네요^^ You are the so worth it as you are. So proud of you Hana 😊
Congrats on getting your PR! 🤗💞 Most of us would just dream to be where you are now but after listening to what you've been through, we can definitely say you deserve everything you have worked hard for. I admire your vlogs because there were so fun to watch but now I admire you more as a person because of all the things you've done. I also found it very touching how kind your letters to yourself were. In your letter, you say that you can be harsh to yourself and be disappointed when you think you did not do enough work but then you are able to understand and forgive yourself for things that you know you shouldn't even feel guilty about. I have never seen such a lovely relationship to oneself before and I admire you so much for it. I hope that whatever you have written this year for your next year self will help remind how amazing you are and that any emotions you will feel during this year are valid. May you achieve all of your goals and continue this healthy relationship you have with yourself. Lots of love from your quiet fan watcher ❤ ( It is my first time ever commenting here haha 😅 )
Congratulations, Hana! I can tell you that your determination, effort, and perseverance will continue to bring you many years of success and good life. Your experience reminds me of when I came to Canada in 1992 and got my PR in 2000 in 8 years. :> Now, I'm so happy that I decided to live in Canada and I'm looking forward to enjoying retirement life in beautiful Canada in the nearest future. Good luck in 2022+!
I just arrived in Canada a few months ago. I also have the plan to get PR in Canada. I know for me it will be longtime and not easy to be there. But your video will be motivating me and I hope one day I will be there as well.
I cried while watching this, I too write letters to myself, but as I still haven't achieved my main goal yet ( for years) so I still didn't read any of them, I almost gave u^p and started thinking of setteling: maybe it's not meant to be, maybe I just neeed to be content with what I achieved now, but this, this gave me a new urge to actually finish my younger self dream and proudly read those letters. One day I'll be able to do that, as for you Hana, you went through a lot, congratulations of your PR, and congratulations for making it through all. Thank you for sharing such personal moments with us, it means a lot.

I feel you. I went through the same phase and got my PR recently 😁. Hard work pays it off! Congrats Hana! Way to go 🥳
Congratulations hun..❤🙏
@@Carribean_gurl Thank you Hazel 😅

I was so touched when I see the self-love from the letters💞 This is so lovely and warm. That is how you become the person you are today! So proud of you. I should write a letter to myself everyeyar too! Finally, congrats on the new job and PR! 🥰
just finished the entire video. very inspiring. very brave of her to come to Canada knowing minimal English through now, speaking English like a native, getting herself permanent residency, getting a job and being able to afford the high living expenses...super brave for a local korean girl to embark on an adventure to Canada.
I CRIED WITH YOOUUUUUU AAAACKKKKKKKK SO GENUINEEEE. CORE MEMOORRYYYY. I know its been months but congratulations for getting that PR, Hana
Your English is so good! I'm jealous. It's also surprising how kind you are to yourself in your journals. It's really adorable!
The Last sequence I want to do when i got PR so badly, keep inspired other people!! Thanks
I'm a person who sent you commercial suggestion mail from korean blind company a few months ago
And suddenly this video pops up in my personal account
I'm here with a working holiday visa as you had
And I can't believe that how incredible time you spent during 7 years
Begging of this video I surprise that your English is perfect(I knew you're korean)
And after a few seconds, I realized why your English is that good
You have a lot of big passion, talent, power
I'm happy with your story
Thank you
girl you really made me cry im really so proud of you. you such a beautifull soul wish you alwys asuccessfull life
I just subbed to you, and by watching this, it feels like I've gone thru all these ups and downs with you.
GREAT Video. Congratulations to Hana ! =========>"Stay hungry stay foolish" and you love the work of doing what you do.
Lots of similarities! 😉
Congratulations on receiving your PR card and thank you for sharing this motivational story.
Those last words about TH-cam really hit hard. Congrats on all your accomplishments, Hana! What a great video.
Congrats👏👏 i know the feeling, I've got mine in 5 yrs, thought it was too long😊. Enjoy as a permanent resident now👍👍💪💪
Congratulations on the huge achievement!
Congratulations Hana 🎉🎊💖👑
I am in awe of your journey thus far and you should wholeheartedly feel proud of yourself.
Thank you for your comment! 🤭
Its my 6th day in canada and I saw your video. I'm so proud of you. You are living many people dream. Go girl!!!!!
Congratulations, Hana! So so so well deserved! Your journey reminds me a lot of my younger self as I went through the same process as you :)
I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors. Last but not least, welcome home 🇨🇦
P.S. I had a good cry from this video lol
ever since i stumbled across one of your videos, 1 year ago, i've consistently watched your videos. coming from an 18 year old (almost 19) girl born in canada, i am so proud of you. even though i am a stranger, it's been so lovely to see you grow into the wonderful woman you are now. congratulations on becoming a PR!!! this is so exciting and i just know little hana never fathomed this moment would be real but it is! you are doing so well and so hard working. the details you put into making your videos don't go unnoticed and i hope you become successful in the future! hope 2022 is an even better year than the one before ❤️
Your English improved so much even from your first TH-cam video till now! Good job and keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for the content. It’s really supportive. I’ve been fighting for the same thing. Hopefully I’ll be getting there soon. 🙏
wow how you improve english is so wonderful. tbh i thought you just said that you weren't good at in english you just were humble. but i heard you spoke back then and i was like woww Hana you have studied so hard. you inspire me a lot
Supporting you endlessly *Rock on sign*
PS: Wow.
I just got my PR in Canada as well!! That feeling of just getting it, Congratulations!! Your videos are amazing!
Oh Hana congratulations. I also started my pr journey and oh boy I’m all kinds of emotions right now. I tap into your blessing 🙏. You are already an over comer. Enjoy
Awww the beginning of this video was so emotional. Congratulations Anna ❤️❤️❤️
congratulations nameishana. and also you did the first step to get Canadian citizenship. love and respect............
CONGRATULATIONS and all good for you in your live in the beautiful Canada, greetings for Colombia...
i love this video. there were segments which i re-watched again and again coz i felt very emotional. ur 2015-18 hit me hard. am 24 and i don't know what am doing with my life but the courage this video gives me is immense. Thank you.
I got my Canadian PR the same day as you!!!
I've been waiting your videos for couple of days lol, it finally came. CONgrats!!!
i’m a new fans from taiwan ~ i really like your video style ! when i feel bad in my life i watch your video then i will feel better and full of power to continue to face challenges .
thank you💪🏻💪🏻☺️
It really inspired me a lot. I just an new comer to Canada for around 3 weeks. And i am struggling too. I am facing the language barrier too. Really hope that u can share ur notes to us and experience for us. Also, i decide to learn from u and write a letter to future me too. Thanks for your video. It really mean sth to me.
I enjoy your vlog because it realnans different. Like a real person struggle and life. I hope you continue cause it great to watch how you grown.
I can't believe you are not native speaker! Amazing!
Congrats! I also got my PR card a week ago! It's been a long journey!
Congratulations beautiful girl, love your VDO. You will become a Canadian Citizen in next 3 yrs, I can't wait for your VDO.
Your English is perfect. I'm really impressed!
Got my PR 2, congratulations!!
I FREAKING LOVEEEEE your creativity omg!
You are the so worth it as you are. So proud of you Hana 😊
Damn the mom moment actually teared me up. Congratualtions Hana! and Beautiful Video! ❤
Congrats on getting your PR! 🤗💞
Most of us would just dream to be where you are now but after listening to what you've been through, we can definitely say you deserve everything you have worked hard for.
Currently working on my pr. Hope I can experience this feeling soon
Congrats on the Journey. New subscriber here and been getting your videos recommended. so watching to support cheers
