    I used a battery pack from an old smoke detector worked perfectly. But I had to wire mine differently as the pull alarm had 6 ports for wires. 2 positives 2 negatives and 2 ports for the switch. It's only works properly if I connect the batteries straight to the ports for the switch instead

    Do you think you would be able to show a how toon wiring a Simplex pull station? I’m just only curious on which side is positive or negative on the Simplex. I’m sure you have one similar to mine but only with a different logo from what I’ve noticed in your videos.
    And lastly, what happened to the Community posts that you made? I remembered that you made a certain milestone with the very first post that you made on here. Do you know why you removed those posts?

    • @firealarmperson4774
      @firealarmperson4774 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have a Simplex 4251-20 T-Bar pull station, and the positive and negative terminals are marked on the wires going to the terminals underneath, but it’s hard to see without turning the device over and looking carefully. The positive terminal’s wire is red and the negative’s wire is white. Regarding the community posts, I removed them to clear space and clutter to post more in the future.

    • @firealarmperson4774
      @firealarmperson4774 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is, but the address loop (the blinking LED light) would not function like you would see in a real addressable system.

    • @MauiWowie51
      @MauiWowie51 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just pull the addressable module out, now you have a normal BG-12 that doesn't need an addressable loop.

    With using a plug and doing the wiring,is there any way I could suffer an electrical shock when plugged in?

    • @firealarmperson4774
      @firealarmperson4774 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Since I’m using a 9V adapter, the voltage is much too low to cause a shock. Even a 24V adapter is way too low to shock you. I would recommend wiring it with the power unplugged so if any wires touch that shouldn’t it won’t short out the device or the adapter. Other than that, it is very safe!

    • @practicallyVG
      @practicallyVG ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EBay. Pull station: NBG-12LX
      Alarm: I don’t know but anyone with terminals would work. Sometimes the alarm only has 2 terminals and the pull station has 4 so you wire the power to 2 sets of terminals on the pull station and the other 2 go into the alarm. IF YOU DO HAVE A ALARM WITH 2 TERMINALS AND A PULL STATION WITH 4, WATCH THIS VIDEO: th-cam.com/video/T0Vhs7-a6d4/w-d-xo.html

    You were mixing up current and voltage which is confusing. You said you need a converter & this one is 9 volts which is perfect for this device then you turned it around and said which is perfect maximum amount of "current" of this device is 24 volts. There was No indication of which it was using AC or DC or both ? Also, current is measured in amps not volts ! Do you know what your doing ?
