July 2023 update. Sheep barn progress. New ram lamb has been added. No till garden update. Indian Fantail and Frillback Pigeons. Horses. Turkeys.

Pretty herd. Love the katahdin dorper crosses.
And the fantails! I had a flock of garden fantails awhile back that I loved. Had horrible problems with rats killing them so had to rehome my flock.
Question from a new subscriber- where are you located in the US and what varieties of grass are you grazing your sheep on? Mine won’t touch the warm season grass I have.

Our flock consists of mostly commercial Katahdin, with only 3 Katahdin x Dorper ewe lambs I've introduced this year. (I just love the black and white and mostly keep those in my flock ... even though there are a few other colors.) I'm located in Ohio. Our pasture is mostly orchard grass and timothy.
I, too, adore the Fantails! They are beautiful and so calming to watch.
Do you have Katahdin sheep also?
