I bought a Klim Snocross pullover for the wet or cold rides. Lightweight and opens for venting. Works great and holds your body heat. Stores small in the pack. Clint,
I'm sure that was a cold ride, but from my couch, it looked like a great adventure! Some cool trails just a couple hours away that I'll have to try one of these times.
Curious if it wasn't moisture freezing in the intake Venturi that was your running issues. I get that a lot here in Michigan when riding snowmobiles above freezing.
So, my moms side of the fam moved up from cali into washington state following a logging boom in the 50s. They were very successful until the spotted owl bs. Turns out the spotted owl bs was because of a virus or bacteria not losing trees. Anyway a company my uncle worked for probably 30yrs ago now. Showed up to work an had every fuel tank and hydraulic talk punctured on their logging equipment dumping hundreds or gallons of the variety into the forest. Very environmental. That was green peace that did that. My coworker and his crew showed up one day to them people chained to the yarder. He fired that sucker up. He let that yarder eat man and was running log turn in as hard as he could. Those green peace fucks were begging to be cut out the chains. He thought it was the most hilarious thing. He told them, "You put yourself there, so deal with it." They didnt come back.
Man, that is a crazy story. I have heard so many stories like yours, and to think the head of the Bureau of Land Management has been directly involved in those activities is insane. We need to drain the swamp for real.
Riding boots hold an unbelievable amount of water. Brrrr.
My boots were filled! Pretty wet ride!
Cali boys stepped up! LOL
They did great! They wisely opted to turn around once I lost the trail for a half hour and lead them through mud, and cold wet boondock!

Clint,
I will check that one out. Klim makes excellent gear for staying warm.

I HIGHLY recommend these trails. They are amazing! This one was way too wet and cold. I was soaked to the last inch of my gear, inside and out.
Those bipolar bears are always a treat
@@MaxRunia yeah, never know what mood they will be in!

Long, steep down hills are like doing half a push up and holding it. You had to have the cold, otherwise it would have been perfect riding conditions.
Yeah, especially when you are tensed up from being cold. It makes for some interesting riding!

@RacerRed it can't come fast enough, man.
I don't know what to use for hands and lower body in those conditions.
I definitely should have prepared better than i did! I could have worn better protection for sure.
