I hoped you would come back! I can say that for me, the appeal of your video was of course from the sincerity and great recommendations, but beyond that was a feeling that you could show the 77 years of your life well lived to now. Well read in a great breadth of literature. I don’t need another “top 20 books of the first six months of the year,” I love hearing about books that are completely new to me, and your reading truly spans such different decades! It’s like a time capsule. And I am taking notes of titles! Hope you consider posting videos again, even if once every few months?

Please don't stop posting,, your book recommendations are so original, please know there are people here that really value your channel ! Read whatever you like, we will be here anyway,:) I'm sure even the new books will not be the obvious ones but original and of great quality!
Algorithm only brought me to your 77 books to read only few days ago and I discovered many book I have never heard of I am so glad that you are back with another video and I will note down all of them again. I really hope that you can continue your channel and also talk about the reasons why you like the books, in more details. And I also really hope that you could talk about yourself regarding your reading journey or maybe how your career/life shaped your reading
I have an idea for more videos. Top 10 Fantasy, Top 10 Sci Fi, Top 10 History. We need more videos from you. You have a very interesting variety of tastes.
Today morning was the first time I came across your channel when your video of best 77 books over the past 77 years, came on my YT feed. I clicked on it instantly with my morning cup of coffee; and trust me I watched the entire video (and not just first few minutes of the video like you said your regular viewers do!). I went through the other videos of your channel, and I subscribed instantly. I shared your video with my friends too. I was a little sad when you said it will be your last video, but now at 11:30 PM before going to sleep, I saw you posted again 8 hours ago, makes me so happy! I will wrap up my day now by watching your video. Please keep these videos coming and share your views on the books you read. Already wish-listed some of them :) Love from India
Jerry, I'm so happy to see TH-cam is finally paying attention to your lifetime of reading! Well-earned and well-deserved. I'll be watching anything you care to post in the future as always 😊.
It’s so refreshing to watch this video and see not just the same 20 books that are recommended in almost every video of this type! So many notes taken, thank you!!🤝🏻
I had been hoping I could find a fellow reader who genuinely recommends beloved books spanning decades. Thank you so much for another 77. I’m going to have a very busy year 📖 ❤
Yay, another video! No pressure but please do come back to discuss books as and when you feel like - you are so well-read and it would be awesome to hear your thoughts.
Wow Jerry, what a fantastic collection. So many of those that I want to read, now that you have brought them to my attention. And I hope that you keep doing videos for many years to come. Thanks so much.
Hi, I just found your channel and I love it! If you feel like it I’d love to see more of your thoughts on books occasionally. Read what makes you happy!!
Um, 240 views in 1 hour. Nothing to sneeze at. People are trying to tell you something! Subscribers would be more than happy to hear you talk about your new reads! Old books don't have to be your entire brand as an older BookTuber, imho. ETA: You opened my eyes to so many authors I hadn't even heard of--so valuable to get a little sampling of them and their work to explore on my own. Such a broad spectrum. Thank you!
Sounds like I am one of many who discovered your channel with the last video. It was such an exciting experience watching as you rattled off book after book I'd never heard of, often by authors I'd never heard of. Glad to see you haven't called it quits yet, but even if you do, thankyou for all the recommendations.
So thankful you decided to make another video! Have really enjoyed your last one and added so many books to my to-be-read-list ❤ thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge! Love from Germany!
Please, never never close your channel! I just found you by previous video and already get so much helpful information. Please post new videos whatever it will be. Your review for new books will be enjoyable to see for sure. Good vibes to you!
Ahhhh, I love it!!! You've posted another video! Oh brilliant. You keep going as you please, an absolute delight to have seen you upload another video :) If it's any answer for a portion of the uptick, Ana Wallace Johnson talked about your channel in her video, "My very specific reading goals for the year.", and I watched your 77 books for 77 years video thanks to her recommendation!
i just finished The Bridge on the Drina! (in serbian my native language) and it took me about six months to read it-i took time inbetween the various stories throughout the history in order to process and dwell on the many interesting characters :-) its a memorable novel by the Pulitser Prize winner!
I have a bad habit of reading extremely popular books, and I don’t really go outside of my comfort zone in terms of genre. Your recomdations make me want to try new books I’ve never heard of! Thank you!
I had never seen your videos in my feed until your last video. I couldn’t understand it. I was frustrated and sad all at once. It is so difficult to find booktube people that have similar tastes to mine. I really hope you change your mind and stay.
Please do not close it. I discovered your videos very late, starting with your last video. Your love for book spreads love for books. Though I am not able to watch this video presently I save it to watch it later. I don't know if anyone has told you but your voice seems to be meant for the books.
Thank you for your fantastic recommendations, it is incredible how many books you have read and how open you seem to reading books with different themes and from all over the world.
Hi, Jerry, So happy you’re back as I only discovered you a fortnight or so ago during your swan song, couldn’t help noticing the outcries from folks ,no doubt, like me, born circa 1950. Your presentations are very beneficial and you mention some real gems that I forgot I loved so let me join the ranks of everybody who urged you to stay. If you run out of fiction ideas, you could always give us advice; for instance, you might encourage us somehow to go on in the face of adversity. 💚🌎😎❤️
Hello from Ukraine! 🙂 I'm soo happy youtube recommended your previous video. I love your taste. So many interesting titles. Hope you will continue making videos.
Yayyyyyy!! So happy you are back! Love your channel!! It’s so inspiring and educational!! I love it! I showed it to my parents too!! They love it too:) thank you for coming back ❤

Man! I watched your original 77 books video a few days ago. I'm very happy you made another one! I think whatever you choose to do with your future would be great, but I have not heard of most of these books, so I love your exposure to diverse types of books with diverse characters. So, if you continue to post on TH-cam, I for one, would appreciate it.
I'm a new subscriber from your last video and am very glad you decided to make another instalment. Thanks for the recommendations and keep up the great work!! 😃
You don't know how happy I am to see you post another video, sir! I have watched your videos for months. You've made me view reading in a whole different way, and I'm really thankful for that. I would love if you keep making videos in the future. But please only do it as long as it feels fun and fulfilling for you. Another great video as always!
I’m in college and don’t have many friends or family who read and your channel has helped spectacularly for finding new books and genres and authors. I appreciate you passing on your expertise! Loved your video on some of the great Russian authors!!
dont close your youtube channel, keep going

Hi, Jerry,
So happy you’re back as I only discovered you a fortnight or so ago during your swan song, couldn’t help noticing the outcries from folks ,no doubt, like me, born circa 1950.
Your presentations are very beneficial and you mention some real gems that I forgot I loved so let me join the ranks of everybody who urged you to stay.
If you run out of fiction ideas, you could always give us advice; for instance, you might encourage us somehow to go on in the face of adversity.
