Making A Real Riding Arena

- Hi again! I am so excited to share this with you. For the past month or so, my husband and I have been working on building a 'real' riding arena. We did all of the work ourselves, and it is finally complete!
My original riding area was about 56' x 88' and my new riding arena is 168' x 96'. So we were able to just about double the area that I can use to ride. And the best part is the arena is completely enclosed, so my horses can be kept out of it. I can leave my jumps up, and the dirt will stay groomed, and poop free (mostly).
By enclosing the riding arena, we have created a dedicated space for riding that will require less maintenance. Meaning less time working the area, and more time to ride!
This was such a fun transformation, and it didn't cost a lot of money. It was a lot of work on our part, but it is so worth it!!!!

Good choice to go with the "plastic" fencing. It might be "more expensive" to start, but in the end you won't have to keep replacing the fence. My parents have them and they live in Western NY, where the weather is similar to yours. They have had no complaints.
This is just about putting on a fence, can you please explain the most important part which is the ground and subbase ?

I have a bumpy pasture which is the only place I can ride. How can I turn it into an arena without spending 50k?? Would turning up the ground and then just chucking some gravel on top work?

I'm wondering where can I find that post hole digger
I’m lucky in my local area we have a building co op that has a lot of equipment that for a small members(ip fee you can borrow equipment they have thins like fence stwire strainers an post hole digger cement mixers and other stuff and if you have a big project on people from the co op may come and help you with it a lot of people in our area build using mud bricks or straw bales
how many feet across are the post and how far does the post in the ground have to be and how much above the ground does the post have to be could you do a video on that? too thank you
