What do you mean people dont have to tarry? Tarry means wait. If we dont wait, we can just speak anything. I went to Nigeria, and went to the 4 square church. Mark you, i have been saved for over 35 yrs. I was visiting and they asked the visitors to come in the front. They automatically concluded that i needed salvation, and without asking me if i am saved, they started to tell people to speak in tongues. They tried to push people down. I resisted, so the man backed off from me. I refused to go down. I refused to let anybody put their hands on my head, especially in Nigeria. I believe in tarrying because Jesus told the disciple to wait for the Holy Ghost. Many people in the church today are not filled. It was a requirement in the early church, but today, anybody can just come and lead devotion, sing on the choir, collect offering, preach, become administrator ect. No wonder the church is in the state it is in today. People no longer want Gods word, they want word from man and miracles. The flesh is in operation.
