  • Pocket holes are a great option for wood joinery. The Kreg Foreman allows the holes to be drilled precisely and quickly! I have had the machine for 10 years and I am sharing some tips I have picked up with a lot of use. Hope you find it helpful!

I was between this and the castle. I got lucky and found an old Porter cable 552 for under $200. I prefer the routed pocket hole and lower angle. This seems like a great machine but I’m not too fond of how much shifting I get when using my old K4 on smaller projects. I imagine it’s the same with the foreman.

Great video. I agree with you ,about not using the little black plastic guides on the fence. Just get in the way. I found they stow nicely in the tool tray in the underside of the table. I’ve had my machine for about 7 years and used it often on site and in the shop. I’m very impressed how it’s held up so far.

It's a great machine for sure - very good investment in pulling off pocket screws quickly without a doubt, I bought this thinking I would buy a more commercial one in the future but I still haven't felt the need, it meets my requirements still

Great video! Just got mine after Christmas and it will be my go to instead of my 720 Pro. It’s easy and I can do more a lot quicker!

I will be doing the exact same setup on the table next to the miter saw.

I wish there was more workpiece marks. We do decking and it’s typically 1”. There’s no 1” reference mark on the table.

I regularly place blue tape on the fence or bed and make reference marks for specific projects, you can also make an custom invention on the table for a measurement you use regularly

My pneumatic Foreman just died. After nearly 22 years in a commercial shop. Kreg quotes $459.00 for a new pneumatic motor alone!!! Looks like I'll be moving to electric.

I have developed a problem with my foreman . It cuts shallow and does not create a hole and the screw head sticks above the 3/4” board and can’t use plugs. Am I crazy? Any ideas?

When you pull it down without any wood, where does the tip of the bit come to? I like to make Sure that the bit is just off the fence. I find when the bit creeps the threaded screw has become loose on the back and I have to readjust it.
