    Thank you for publishing your video. From my reading of the MQ7 data sheet, it requires a heating cycle and then a cooler read cycle. A few folks have schematics and code published on the web. I've not calibrated my mq 7 with known values yet, so I can't say they really work. The data sheet also recommends a 48 hour plug in before using.

      Yeah.. You are right.. Datasheet recommends to keep it for 48Hours..in fresh air or inside a room.. Use the code MQ7_1 in the zip folder 📂 available In description below.. But I did it for only a few hours.. No probs..

    Hello, thank you very much for your research, it's a great contribution! I have a question: the datasheet of MQ-7 recommends applying a heating cycle of 5V for 60 seconds and 1.4V for 90 seconds. What is the impact of not applying this cycle? Your research doesn't include this cycle, so how could it affect the procedure?

    I have one question. Why you assume 10 like the value of Rl on the arduino sketch? I think that the value from Rl is 2Kohms because on my pcb are connected a resistance with that value on the pins B from the sensor and gnd from the board, just like the datasheet from mq-135. So, the table to calculate ppm with rs/ro its thinking with an 20kOhm Rl. However, thanks for do this great project

    Very informative video and thank you very much... i have a small doubt please clear this for me... in the mq7 calibration part of yours to get the R0 value you have divided RS by 27 (RO=RS/27)... which means RS/RO=27 ......... but when i go through the the data sheet of mq7 the fresh air ratio is around 9.6 that is RS/R0=9.6 ...... please be kind to let me know about this...

    Very nicely explained...one small clarification...can you tell what specific gas you have measured here using MQ 135...bcz my thesis is to measure CO and benzene...so can we program the sensor to measure benzene alone...I am a postgraduate dentist student...so can you explain please...

    hey , i m doing my project on air quality monitoring and i m using multiple gas sensor mq2 ,5 ,135 .
    i am confuse that can't we sense a particular gas concentration using this sensors , some of the youtube video showing different gas ppm conc. please help me out if we can calculate particular gas value then how

      Say for eg: MQ135 sensor goes high if *any of the gases* concentration goes high.
      Using mq series sensors, you can't particularly measure a gas. I'm not so sure to tell you about particular gas concentration measurement
      As of now, if you take mq7, it's primarily for CO, but it also goes high for smoke or other gases as per datasheet. You can take mq7 and claim the output as CO concentration, but strictly it may not be correct

      Sorry that I haven't made use of raspberry pi.. I believe arduino is sufficient to make use of these sensors as raspberry is costlier
