    Thank you for actually showing what the watch looks like on your wrist in different outfits and scenarios. This is the most helpful thing to me when getting a sense of what a watch would actually look like in everyday life.

    The Selina movement is a welcome addition for me, it lowers the cost (and maintenance cost) making these more attainable. I have 6 watches with this movement and will take it everyday of the week vs overpriced in house movements. Plus it keeps these under the radar of flippers and snobs so more people can enjoy them.

    You literally sold me on this specific watch. I was looking at the SS version with silver dial but this version looks great. I also appreciate you showing it paired with different outfits and at different distances. I have a 6.75" wrist and was worried the 41mm was too big but it looks great on your 6.5" wrist. I own a modern Explorer II and Sub-Date and both those fit perfectly so I'm hoping this fits the same.

    I am definitely tempted to get one now :D I really think this could be the Datejust of the Tudor model like the Black Bay is the Submariner of Tudor.

  • @MisterMaster4life

    Thanks for sharing. Great video! I recently bought the Black Bay 2 tone and shortly after the steel version of the Royal 41mm. I loved the Royal over my Black bay, but I did become fond of the 2 tone of the Bb. So I sold the Black bay and sold the steel Royal and bought this watch. A combination of my steel Royal and 2 tone Black bay: The 2 tone Royal!
    Best decision I made. Love it!
    It's simply beautiful. The craftsmanship is truly above its price and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the style of the watch. Like what you said at the end of the video: There simply isn't anything like it in this price range that's comes even close. And that's 100% true.
    It's super unique and classy yet can be worn very casually. The fit and finish is super high quality and the overall look masculine yet stylish.
    So to anyone who's in the market for a watch and thinking of this one. Try it on and I'll bet you'll never want to take it off again.

    I believe Tudor went with Sellita because their in house movement isn't designed to handle a day wheel, plus like you said they save some on cost which they obviously pass all savings to the consumer which is a great thing about Tudor, it's also great that they usually peak, tweek, and modify movements they outsource for really bringing even non house movements up to what they feel is a higher standard

    • @koolpep
      @koolpep 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HafizJMehmood Ok compromise: Let's say the Royal replaces the Classic in the lineup. Yes the Royal is a new release and the Classic is discontinued - we agree on already. If you see them side by side - you see where the inspiration came from. It's pretty clearly an evolution of the Classic's (very old and stale) design in a more modern form but one can clearly see the lineage. It's ok if you want to call it a new watch as the changes are big, but zooming out a bit - they are very similar watches from the same brand.

    Great video I just have one question! Is the gold really solid or capped because I found this scrolling in the comments in another review: "The Black Bay S&G models have solid crowns, bezels and end links while links in the bracelet are capped. The 1926 and Royal lines do differ. The Royal bezels and bracelet links are capped while the crowns are plated which helps assist in keeping the cost more approachable. The 1926 models have solid end links with capped bracelet links and bezels, however the 28mm versions do have solid bezels. You may see or hear otherwise, but this info is direct from Tudor." Thanks!

    • @MisterMaster4life
      @MisterMaster4life 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The original design idea to make the IV a IIII comes from Cartier. They decided the IIII is more balanced with the VIII (opposite number on the dial) . So although it's incorrect...pretty much all brands that use Roman numerals copied the idea from Cartier.

    as to the clasp, you do realize two things... 1 steel can NEVER wear and tear ceramic, that's why it's ceramic ballbearings and 2 your wrist can never grab both sides of the bracelet and pull it with force apart while wearing this watch, so your assumption that it'll change over time with wear and tear is silly and absurd. BTW the rest of your review was amazing :-)

    Roman numeral 4 is supposed to be "IV" not "IIII"... WTF Tudor?!?! 🤷🕵😄

    how drunk you have to be to stamp out nummerals, making look like a veery cheap fake? Probabaly not even chronometer or high end hairspring in this sellita 200, 48hour movement for a 4k-5k watch.

    Take my opinion with a grain of salt. This watch reminds me of the Omega constellation series and makes me want to puke in its design. Sorry, just not something I would buy.
