I had a stroke 3 years ago. Since then; my husband has been doing most of the cooking and laundry. We have been married for 55 years. We are so blessed!❤
Both Chelsea and Tyler bring me great joy! Chelsea has gone above and beyond for women’s/ human rights and in the politic nightmare in which we find ourselves. Tyler is so healing and also teaching in a very dark time. What a lucky time for me!! 🎉
My Mother and 2 brothers have passed away. Every night after I pray, I imagine that they are on a beautiful beach. My Mother is probably drinking a cold glass of white wine. One of my brothers is having a frozen margarita and my other brother is drinking a cold glass of sweet tea. I was fortunate to hold my Mother’s hand when she took her last breath. My world will never be the same without them.🙏
I never really thought about using comedy for grief until my mom got Alzheimers and after 3 years passed. No one had laughed in months. Especially my dad. We were all at a hotel the night before her funeral and turned on the TV right as School of Rock came on TV. It was the first time I'd seen my dad laugh in ages and sitting quietly and laughing together was a bonding experience and every time I see Jack Black I thank him quietly for helping assuage our grief for 90 minutes and am grateful.
I have six sisters and one of my sisters, will whisper stuff in your ear at funerals and you could literally pee your pants she's so funny 🤣 and she's been like that our whole life I mean during tragedies she's laughing, she probably has something severely wrong with her and we just haven't figured it out yet, I've had to leave a funeral before because I was laughing so hard I had to pretend like I was crying, just because I sat by her and basically she's like that every day very funny
I appreciate Tyler for being mediumship to the general masses. There are others, of course, but the way Tyler has been able to work with celebrities has given this field a much wider audience and as a result allowing other mediums to do there work. Tyler is a such a gentle soul. We are all privileged to see him work. I’m happy Chelsea appeared just as authentic as him. 💕
always liked Chelsea. i watched her talk show years ago and loved it. I agree with Chelsea as I have laughed many times in an audience with strangers and it was a good feeling.
They’ve done studies on that connectedness to something greater than ourselves… definitely can get the same vibe in a religious setting or at a rock concert or show!!! It’s science.
Her face has a softness because that grief has moved on. She keeps growing. Go Chelsea, and yes empathy starts at home towards ourselves, and is The Healing.
Thank you for the book recommendation. A perfectly timed resource. I’ve just ordered it. In return and in reference to the white privilege convo, I highly recommend Ruby Hamad’s “white tears/brown scars” which was written off the back of an article that triggered a massive conversation around being asked to recognise and be accountable for our white privilege and how it subversively permeates everything. Just like gender does. Amazing, eye opening book that we all should read - especially if we are not a person of colour in this world.
To Tyler’s point about using death in a comedy show. I don’t remember the female, lesbian comedian whose comedy routine is centered on her cancer diagnosis and after it.
adore Chelsea. However, the Tyler show last year in San Francisco was so horridly - I trouble to find the words - acted; fake; untenable. The audience members Tyler communicated with were just going along with it and agreeing with his suggestions to placate. It was a traveling carnival show.

So sorry for the loss of your brother!🙏
I would love to see her perform!
That was such a lovely talk, thanks Tyler for putting this together and Thanks Chelsea for sharing with vulnerability.
Thank you both for helping us all move toward an evolution of love and connection. I adore you.
That was such high quality, real, deep and interesting conversation. Thank you for sharing

Two of my most favourite people❤ Hope they have a reading too, next time!
Tyler your parents did such a good job with you. you're a true human
She is right about using humor to survive sometimes. It doesn't mean you aren't grieving. You are still living in spite of your grief.

Laugh or Cry - usually both!
