The movie is pretty straight forward:
Rumi is crazy and can't handle Mina quitting being a pop star because Rumi was a former pop star.
Rumi is gaslighting Mina and that's why Mina is starting to dissociate.
The cuts and the use of the name Mina in the tv show is the director putting the audience in Mina's shoes.
It's not supposed to make sense in the middle, it's called an unreliable narrator.
