Yep. My younger brother works as a convenience store clerk and he told me that the overwhelming majority of customers walk in for cigs, booze or bakery bread. Apparently these people are all exactly the same with some rare exceptions. I'd guess this is even more extreme in a hardcore leftist nation like Japan but who knows.
