    A nice peaceful meditation for a Sunday evening. My favourite time of year....the whole summer to look forward to. I seem to've really felt the cold this winter!

      Thanks Matt - it felt that way out on the walk. Yeah it's been a long winter - ready for it to give way to warmer days and new growth

    quick tech Q, John: I know you use a hand-held camera, but it's generally pretty steady. I resort to a tripod mostly, which takes a lot of time. What's yr secret? Have you some gyroscope thingy?

    • @JohnRogersWalks
      @JohnRogersWalks  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Carl - no big secret I tuck my arms into my side as much as possible to act as a physical stabilizer keeping the camera close to the body, sometimes I keep the neck strap on and extend it fully (downwards), that can help. I also sometimes attach a mini-tripod to use as a hand-grip.

    • @cgeoffreytaylor1135

      I try the body-stabiliser method myself if I can't be arsed to deploy the tripod, but I must be too jittery, or my heart-beat is too excited, 'cos I'm never happy with the results. I edit with Windows Movie-maker, which is s'posed to have a compensatory filter for juddering, but it never works! I've been following Keiller's method - 'moving photography', if you like, which demands a knowledge of composition: something I've yet to master! Thanks for the feedback

      try editing with the filter off - sometimes digital stabilisation can actually make it worse - always happy to answer tech questions
