Hari Parbat is also known as Kooh-e-Maran lies on the west of Dal Lake in Srinagar, in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. This Mughal structure was built by an Afghan Governor Atta Mohammed Khan in 18th century. Later a long wall was constructed in 1590 by Emperor Akbar. Surrounded by commendable structures from all religions, this fort sits at the top giving a spectacular view of Dal Lake.

In 16th century 1590 its outer wall was constructed by Akhar as he had plan to make capital Nager Nagor.
Later in 18th century actually it was constructed by Atta Mohammad Khan, as governor on the order of Shuja Shah Durani an Afghan ruler in 1809.
But actually foundation is led by Akbar and had plan to built a fort which he couldn't construct hence it is said Hari Parbat is built by Akber.
