@ Edwin Bryant - feedback - you have and are achieving what you intend - bridging that gap between traditional yoga and the watered down version we are sold in the ‘west’ - taking us onto a more authentic path on our personal and collective journeys. Thank you for that. Hare Krishna !
I'm currently doing a course on the Bhagavata Purana with Edwin F Bryant from the Yogic Studies, he is a fantastic teacher. I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in studying the Bhakti Vaishnava traditions of Sanatana Dharma.
I just learned about you from a fellow Raja Yoga Teacher trainee at Yogaville, VA. That brought me to this video. Looking forward to viewing many of your talks. And thank you for pronouncing Sanskrit the right way. Not that the world comes to an end if someone mispronounces it, but says a lot about a teacher who makes sure to get it right.
Professor Edwin Bryant writes for the general reader at a high scholarly and comprehensive level. His focus and writing style gives his books an elegance and satisfaction from reading them that is truly rare. That he writes for the nonspecialist while still maintaining a strict commitment to the content makes his work all the more valuable.
Does the professor think Eastern Philosophies(Hinduism, Pantheism, Buddhism), which he spent his entire life studying have done any good for India and the Indian people, from the political and social standpoint?
one of the best professors I ever had. the rutgers religion department is top notch.
good to hear!

I'm also taken with this gentleman and his nuanced and balanced perspective! I hope to attend his upcoming workshop.
