My first memory of Dragon Ball was the end credits and seeing Akira Toriyama's name. I don't know why but something about that name just flipped a switch in me and ever since I would always use "Akira" when making stories, emails, game accounts, just about everything I use has his mark in my life because of that one moment. His name alone had enough power to influence me, not to mention his works in general. Dragon Quest is my favorite game series. None of his anime or manga are particularly my favorite but they are so integral in my life regardless as they influenced creators whose works I do love. The man was amazing and all he was trying to achieve was making people happy though his art. The definition of a true artist.

@deathbyphiw I had to record on DirecTV for my dad so he wouldn't miss an episode every sunday. It was that or use on demand. Imma miss those days
