- This is a tool-assisted speedrun. For more information, see tasvideos.org/1320M

This is a full completion of Metroid, meaning that all items (100%) were collected.
This is a 8 minute 16 second improvement over the previous movie ( tasvideos.org/202M ) by Zoizite ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Z... ). Much of the improvement comes from using the Up+A restart sequence, though many new shortcuts and optimizations also save time.
This movie has now been console verified. Watch this run being played on a real NES console ( • ConsoleVerified - NES ... ). - เกม
Nice to know that the "jump through the ceiling using the door" glitch works in Metroid and Super Metroid lol.
Speedrunner is so cool, he doesn't even wait for bosses to be dead before he opens the door behind them.
The low health alarm is the worst thing about this game.
And Zelda. I loved these games but man! 😫
So, what is this Up+A restart sequence that managed to cut off a huge 8 minutes?
What the heck are you talking about? The Up+A warping pulls up the password system because it's resetting Samus' position. You honestly think that a TAS, a format of speedrunning known to be done in a 'single' setting, would result to breaking up the gameplay in such a way?
A TAS is done with a movie file. This movie files allows people to overwrite stuff and eliminate mistakes. They are also known to be trying to break all known records. You think he would be wasting time SAVING?
Samus is a lady.
A TAS is not a movie file, it is a set of inputs that are played back frame by frame
Is this the last one? Is this the last of the chain of Metroid TASes?
If there was only a way to turn off the beeping
Technically, there's one more, but yes, this should be the last one, unless I lied to myself just now.
21:13 Samus knows Ridley is already dead and gives zero fucks, just peaces out. Legend.
*_Team Ninja_*_ won't remember that._
I think it's safe to say you have this game down to a science
I don't understand the early detour for long beam.
Getting Long Beam earlier creates about 10 seconds detour; more than that is saved being able to shoot distant blocks in narrow tunnels (otherwise would have to wait for bombs), cutting lag & getting refill by killing enemies ahead of Samus, and being able to use the Wave Beam to shoot through a wall and finish off Ridley while exiting his room.
so this is the best xD
I like how like %60? of this game is Norfair.

I can’t bear the low HP sound. It’s so annoying. Had to stop after 10 min.
Went to the kitchen for some popcorn and soda, after you used the password system, I honestly lost interest, thought it was just one time long run, my body was ready........ :(
I don't get the point of tool assisted runs. How is that even meaningful? Doesn't feel like any much of an achievement and some type of pointless cut and paste job.
The list of things you don't get could fill the library of Alexandria
In all honesty, I don't really see the point of RTA. Who cares if _someone_ happened to do a combination of things, if said things were already known to be possible? At least TAS is breaking new ground, exploring new possibilities, instead of just treading the same ground faster.
