- Amazon promised workers in Chicago full-time roles with a hiring bonus, extra pay for working Thanksgiving, and paid bereavement leave. Every promise was broken.
So these courageous workers led the first-ever walkouts coordinated across multiple Amazon warehouses.

After dedicating nearly 5 years working at Amazon, I decided to take their buyout offer last year. I wish all the current employees nothing but the best!
I went to work at an amazon sortation facility this past holiday and almost everyone I talked to was not interested in working full time 40 hours a week.

You warehouse workers are so powerful. Without y'all, Amazon can't even hope to fulfill orders. These are orders in which Amazon takes a healthy cut, right from the vendor's pockets.
Amazon can afford anything their workers demand, they are the ones holding the bag of cash. Don't forget this.

More power to them. Lying to employees, gaslighting, wage theft and downgrading employment status alongside the horrible working conditions they already have to put up with, sounds like a reasonable explanation to go off the job to me.

Hurrah for these workers. Usually we support strikes by not purchasing any of the goods the company manufactures. Since we very rarely ever purchase anything through Amazon this will be somewhat difficult to do this time. But our prayers and support is with these strikers.

I don't know much about Chicago, but I've heard they are a strong working class city, who are proud and stand up for what they believe in. You represent everything right in your community. This is basic shit, getting bathroom breaks, the pay you were promised and a livable wage. You are on the right side of history, and within a Union you are powerful and can fight them tooth and nail.

I went to work at an amazon sortation facility this holiday just like these people in this video. It was a good experience but the hours are low and the pay is the same as working at a fast food or grocery store so only work here if it is convenient for you.

i cancelled prime long ago and do all in my power to avoid the company and its subsidiaries such as prime movies, prime music, whole foods, hello fresh, alexa, ring "security" system, twitch, amazon pharmacy (you get the picture).

I hope that the Amazon workers' strike will inspire other companies, especially those in the South, let workers unionize without interference from management. Perhaps the changes that Amazon workers achieve will influence the workers at the Mercedes plant in Alabama the next time they vote on whether to unionize.
You should have asked before signing anything. This is blame on everyone. Luckily I resell and I don't ship to the warehouses.
