- Rainbows are magical. They are used symbolize so many things to so many people, and so it's essential to have one you’re really happy with in your toolbox. Don’t feel like you’re limited to the cheek, and be sure to keep it interesting to you as you let your rainbow brush fly!

It was a small affair that I did at my local church's Christmas party purely as a practice session, and taught me that you can't paint a child's face in a regular chair if you're standing up, as it's too much like painting in a yoga position. Especially with a small child that won't turn their head in a helpful direction, it's not at all conducive to painting with skill or confidence. I need a directors's chair, which I've bought, and to get more organised, so that I don't panic and lose track of my brushes, what design I'm doing, because I've been learning so many but am confident in few. It's so brilliant to be able to learn from people like you who share their skills and advice. I must say that I absolutely love face paints and what's possible with them!

What paints are you using? Do you buy the rainbow paint set up like that or did you make that yourself???

Hey Sandy, you bet! that tip saves me all the time. I normally charge $5 for a design like this, but often there are just clouds, no flowers
Hi there! I know you said in the comments that you probably made this cake, and may not remember each brand, but do you happen to know which brand or exact color name you used for the dark pink, and the the purple on the other side? BC I love them both, & I especially seem to have a hard time finding a light, but bright and opaque purple that looks good. And the one in the rainbow here looks perfect. If you can remember, I would be so appreciative! And thanks for all your fabulous videos!

Yes! I paint sitting D, unless the kid is like 10 and then I stand. I wish I could say getting up and down all day has given me great strong legs, but what can you do?

Can you plz tell me which kind of body paint we should use like water base or oil base??
Water based all the way! Oil based can be set and is wonderful in some situations, but for this work on kids water is best.

For sure, I really like Tag and Fusion- wolfe and DFX are great for linework. My best advise is to look for someone selling their kit, so you can try lots of different things for cheap! They have swap groups for just face paint on Face book!

How do you adhere the chunky glitter?
The Glitter I use Deni is in a gel base, it comes from Art Factory, so I just dip and smear.

I don't remember, but I usually make my own. Dark pink-neon pink- dark yellow- neon yellow, light blue- purple. Complicated mix but gorgeous!
