McCallum AB4-Deluxe Mopane Gold Blackwood Bagpipes

We're doing short videos on the different bagpipe makes/models as we send them out to customers. These videos will hopefully help show the differences between the various model.

Hi Kris, valid point. The metalwork is heavier, but how many folks out there have full silver sets, also heavy. McCallum Bagpipes use aluminium for the other sets and this is in comparison very light, lighter than nickel sets. So if weight is an issue for folks then I would opt for the aluminium mounts.

yes, we agree.... very nice indeed! Obviously, these are n ut full gold, they are gold plated.

I have the AB3 set ( bought at your shop)since December, 2021, and I am more than satisfied. McCallum is guarantee of high quality, design, sizes…great bagpipes.

I had a set of these. Very beautiful. But the gold plating is brass based and insanely heavy compared to other ABW pipes. Very cumbersome. I ended up trading them for Poly McCallums. So much happier now. Less weight and less maintenance...less worry about cracking. And with the right setup of reeds and such there is very little difference in sound.
