Hopefully one day I’ll be able to take one of your courses in person. Until then, thanks for sharing your videos on TH-cam.

Brian - I'm not understanding how the brake lines become activated during a rear riser stall. It seems like the relative length of the brake lines to the C & D lines would remain the same, and keeping slack in the brake lines. Can you elaborate?

When the canopy stalls on rear risers, the back half of the parachute compresses forward, and the trailing edge points upward. That is, except for the brake sections, which are held down by the brake lines. Have a look at this video at the one minute mark. You will see the center cell point up and flap at the tail, but not the end two cells on either side. th-cam.com/video/rJbyKnVQYPo/w-d-xo.html

@@Brian-Germain I see now. I'll have to do some more riser work on my jumps as I've never noticed that. Thanks!

an important informations.. but i think with a big size conopy as an accuracy canopy its hard to work with rear riser for more than minutes.. sir i wanna ask.. is it recommended for beginner to throw away the cutaway handles or size them.?

Yes, with the standard emergency procedures method shown in this video, the cutaway handle is dropped. This is standard practice for students, and is supported by most national skydiving organizations. Once you have a license and are prepared to train hard, the method can be changed to one that allows both handles to be retained.
