When one watched Ashok Kumarji's movies you don't see an actor but a loving soul that oozes talent and with his charismatic eyes and smiles he made you feel that he was a part of your life, your family and your world. He had the capacity to make that wonderful connection with everyone around him. It's heartwrenching that his own children let him down in his evening years. He had an aura about him and looked dashing, suave and sophisticated no matter what he wore. RIP Sir
Dilip kumar, Raj Kapoor, Dev anand may be the pillars of bollywood but Dadamuni was the foundation. Most spontaneous actor besides Balraj sahani and Sanjeev Kumar.
Balraj is not spontaneous. Balraj sahni is a method actor. Motilal and dadamoni are natural actors.

A method actor has some peripherals and range in acting. He cannot come out of this bound but a natural actor has not limit of sky. Dilip kumar is a methodic stuff but Sanjeev, balraj sahani and dada muni were natural. One can act like dilip kumar but it is next to impossible to act like Sanjeev, balraj and ashok kumar. U talk about motilal, in how many movies he played a character of poor guy, no, he could not. Like Rehman he was also confined in roles of aristocracy and affluence

I saw his film Kismat 1943 very good actor I have the film in my library,before Dilip Kumar Raj Kapoor & Dev Anand it was Ashok Kumar Prithvi Raj Kapoor & Jairaj , Ashok Kumar was the first Super Star. He was in love with Nalini Jaywant according to a Interview with Filmfare he and Nalini Ji use to see each other through binoculars from there balconies.

Some of my friends who stays in Chembur, nearby to his bungalow at union park had taken treatment from him. He used to be a great Homeophathic practioner, as well as a great astrologer as well.
