    She's beautiful, clever and funny.
And it does appear she's worked out it's the white ball to hit. Might take a little longer to realise it shouldn't go in the pocket!
Best thing is she's having fun 😍

I've just come across your channel and I am so happy I have done. You are one of the few that take pigeons to the next level and I also wish to explore their magnificent intelligence and their clear capacity for love and devotion. I have been raising a feral pigeon having saved him from my roof during the Dubai storms when he was 2 weeks old. He has grown now to a 5 week juvenile and has bonded with me. He has just started eating on his own and today is about to fly. I have built a large aviary that is attached to the house so he has inside and outside roaming. But sadly I have to go away for a month to attend to an older bird (my Mum!), but a pigeon expert here in Dubai, said he may die from missing me and a feeling of abandonment and loneliness. I have friend house sitting who will feed it and give it company, but it's not me (i.e. he sleeps with me at night, which I realise I must wean him out of before I leave). Do you think he will survive the duration? Are there ways (like zoom calls) to keep him from being to lonely? Also, will he remember me when I return? I hear they hold grudges and that he might be very angry when he does see me again as I left him. I hope you see this comment and message me back. I would be so very grateful for any suggestions you could provide. He brings me such joy and he loves me so much, I have considered putting him down to prevent his suffering, as I can't bear the thought of him feeling so lonely.

Hi..thank you for the kind comment. As long as some one it there looking in on him and feeding him, he should be just fine.He will still be very much a baby when you return. Zoom calls could work. Some of my bonded Pigeons have reacted to phone to talks (my voice)..when my partner has called me at work and passed me over to them. Pigeons are very smart and will recognise human faces...so he will remember you. I've never come across a Pigeon with a grudge..any Pigeon anger is usually down to them wanting to dominate. I hope everything works out for you.

@@pigeontrix Thank you so much for your message. This really makes me feel a little calmer about leaving him. Your knowledge and insight along with your experience - which clearly demonstrates how amazing these birds are - is top notch. And just the level I was looking for as most of the other TH-camrs are more keen on the racing aspect and they have different requirements and training. I will be browsing all your videos, and probably aksing you many more questions. One thing that has just happened, is my boy has just asked me to preen him. He pecked at my fingers, then indicated with his beak at his feathers. How cool is that?! However he refuses to learn to step up. I've not got a clicker yet, which makes it harder and so I'll have to teach that to him when I return... Thank you again. You really have taken a great weight off my shoulders. I will let you know how it all goes!

You might consider getting him a female mate if he is now tame and bonded to you. Pigeons are very much social birds.

@admeliora11 she's a female and only 14 weeks old. If you have seen any more of my channel... you will see I keep a number of Pigeons.
